I just realized from watching the video that it was Hill's high school teammate Collins that opened up that big arse hole. The future is bright.

Hilliard holds the State rushing record not Hill FYI, and Hilliard didn't have La'el Collins blocking for him at his small 3A school.

that's part of it. The other part is pad level. He runs a little too upright.

Going through our 5 running backs there isnt one that I feel doesnt add a good facet to our offense.

They are all amazing RBs with different running styles.

Hilliard is a good back but last night he looked tentative. Look like he was more aware of holding on to the ball instead of blasting through like usual. I agree with one of the other posters, that he runs to straight up, u need to lower pads & knock their dick in the dirt!

I knew he had the state rushing record and he's a great back, but I was talking about the different dimensions Hill brings to the team. There are way more options from the playbook to choose from with a player like Hill on the field. He can catch the ball ( as we seen vs Fla and USC ), hit the outside as well as run between the tackles, and help pick up the blitz to protect our QB.

I love Hilliard and he's one of my favorite players, but Hill is a better all aroun back. That's why he touched the ball more than Hilliard last night.

He needs to get lower so he has more leverage IMO

He does remind me of Eddie George with that upright running style.

Was neat watching him run behind his high school teammate, Collins. I remember watching the high school game when Hill and Hilliard played against each other. Knew we had to get Hill no matter what. Guy is a special player. As my 9 year old said last night...."all the LSU running backs are good." A good problem to have.

The state rushing record means nothing. Just means he was a starter longer and got more carries which also means Hilliard has less carries left in him than j hill. That wasn't even the best run I've seen jh33 have and I have been watching him play for a very long time. The best is still to come

Hilliard was scared to fumble for sure. Looks like he's running stiff because of it

I've always said really good running backs show their stuff within three games regardless of being freshman or seniors.

Hopefully miles doesn't bench him

The team found their spark in Jeremy hill

This.

Also Hilliard was playing a lot more than Hill because Hilliard was Patterson's whole team. Hill's redemptorist teams were stacked and they did more than just hand the ball to him.

Except that Eddie George would have pancaked that DB on the way into the endzone.

I am in no way being negative, but Hilliard's running soft for as big a guy as he is. Uncle Dalton needs to teach him how to bring the pain.
