We need to hang 50 on Vandy

Put up or shut up Lester. treat them like the dude who stole your bike.
Vandy is a shitty team and they have no business being on the same field with our talent. No business!
Restore the faith and hang 50 on them as an example to the rest of the inferior talented teams. Pull out all the stops. Get Shepard/Randle/Toliver the damn ball all night. They can't be covered or stopped.

The only year Saban played Vandy while at LSU we won 24-7 so according to much of the logic on this board 24-7 is the absolute best we could do against Vandy. Also, we were ranking #19 in the country then as well (about where we are now). And since the conventional wisdom around here is that Saban is so much greater than Miles that there is no way we could beat Vandy by more than 24-7.
Here's hoping the rant wisdom is not true!

Usually, I ignore threads like this. The answer is, we have to beat Vanderbilt. Style points are for teams from weak conferences.
However, I would like to see LSU return to level of respect where, although they won't admit it, teams are intimidated. Like Tyson in the 80s. Spinks was a tough fighter but he was visibily frightened to fight Iron Mike.
The past two seasons have turned us into the Tyson who bit Holyfield's ear.
It would be nice to skullfrick a few of these teams the next 4 weeks leading up to Florida. I want John Brantley feeling a little like Spinks.

I don't think we've ever hung that much on vandy, they're not that bad. They're extremely well coached and always play well. I wouldn't hold my breath on us putting up 50 if I was you

During Les' tender LSU has hung greater than 40 on 19 opponents, and 45 or gretaer on 10 opponents.
We could hang 50 on them but statistically it would be more likely to stay in the mid to upper 30's
ETA only one team hung 50 on an in conference opponent last week, and only 8 teams total put up 50 pts or more against opponents like Tenn Martin, New Mexico, Samford, ect.
