I want to know why Choctaw has this blind love for Les Miles? Seriously?

No blind love, i know he screwed up and has screwed up in the past. I, however, understand that it is very easy to blame the head coach but there are many other factors that the Miles bashers blatantly ignore. QB situation for the last couple of years comes to mind.

Plus...it's alot more fun to go through life positive.

For the last time, it would be a negoiated settlement.

LSU should lay a 3 to 5 million $ check in Miles hands and Mutual Termination Agreement. If he fails to take the deal, they should say we are not paying the buyout and are terminating you for cause. Sue us.

Would be state jurisdiction and the judge might just be an alum and fan.

But don't you want the best for the program? You know he is not on the elite level. How can he possible win if he can't manage the football game? Like we have reiterated before, it is impossible to out athlete Florida & Alabama. Execution is key.

That sounds good except Miles has no incentive to settle and LSU would never do the "sue us" thing. What coach would even come to LSU if we pulled that shite.

LSU screwed themselves with that fricked up rollover contract. Miles is here to stay.

No doubt.

But, this would not deter any other coach from taking the job. Fact is most coaches are having a private laugh about the events of Saturday already.

Further, every coach knows that LSU has talent and that the SEC is the big boy league.

Attracting another coach would not be a problem. That is a myth.

A top tier candidate is going to at least have reservations about walking into this situation. LSU breaking Miles' contract will make it that much more radioactive. When there are other good programs out there willing to pay top dollar, that makes it much more difficult for LSU to get a quality coach.

That's speculation.

What is NOT speculation is that we now know that LSU is not coached as well as it should be at the head coach level.

LSU football does not usually strive to be the very best. Should we expect change when we know this? Probably not, even though we know that we can do better.

Give it a rest man. The concept that Miles is a shitty coach is about as equally true as the concept that we have a shitty fan base. Just look at this board the last couple of years. Miles didn't get Joe McKnight and he should be fired, though he wins the MNC the same year.

Fans boo our kids as they work their asses of playing for us.

Yes....guess what's not best for the team....screaming for the coaches head and telling players they suck. Believe it or not, players and recruits do read this board.

Should i post his record?

No it's not...we just need a more experienced QB and o-line. These are the two most important areas on the field. If he has the same problems next year then it's time for him to go.

And he's the guy who adamantly claimed Jarrett Lee should be the starter...obviously a guy who knows what he's talking about.

Miles ain't goin' no-where.....he might not get fired next year either. LSU will stick by him 2-3 years too long (aka Smoke Laval).

But it will take longer to bring the TIgers to the top (than in baseball).

Yeah, that wouldn't hurt LSU in the hiring process at all.

The only possible settlement would be Miles getting a negotated amount up front rather than over the next 8 years probably with no restrictions on future employment.

This was absolutely scary, and anybody paying attention should have known there was trouble ahead. I must say I am absolutely shocked it took this long for it to finally catch up to him. He has had a very good run full of lucky bounces and gutsy playmaking. That said, if you continually make bad decisions, bad things will happen. This is it for Coach Miles. The majority of the fans have left him, and in my view, he has lost his team for the second straight year. We have fallen a long, long way since Ohio State.
