The engine of the offense. Your starting 5 is:

Good LT but from big 12 school
Bad LG that was 3rd string at Tennessee
Okay center that was on a historically bad offense last year
Big ten RG who had a horrendous run blocking grade in an easier conference
Bad RT who was also on a historically bad offense last year.

Should have prioritized offensive line over 3 QBs and one of which will never play could have went to two quality guards

What’s insane is ever since 2019 the offensive line is always an issue it seems like. I don’t get it.

It really does boil down to this . You are only as strong as your weakest link .

Linemen are hard to evaluate and take a long time to develop.

Moore at Center isn’t t who you need to build around.

Need a Dog leading at Center.

He is ok but not a Dog

You’re right but this is why you need to extend and isolate Green in the red zone to pull guys out of the box and at least give yourself better numbers in the run game.

I would spend my NIL/collective on nothing but the lines of scrimmage next year

And the recruiting classes just seem to be what they always are. A bunch of projects that never seem to get developed. Yet bama and UGa seem to plug RS freshman in and they are good for 3 years.LSU has them in system for 3 years and they play like freshman and thats not in a good way.

Devin Harper and Soloman Thomas were supposed to be the guards. Apparently they can’t play. So here we are. We are weak up the middle on OL and it is what it is. When the field shrinks in the red zone we have problems scoring. Don’t have a blocking TE the guy we signed from Syracuse doesn’t see the field. They put the fullback from Oregon there to block. That’s why he wanted wright the ole miss TE that Sankey vetoed.

Even in 2019 with the greatest college offense ever there were numerous posts on here daily complaining about the OL even after they won the Joe Moore Trophy and all got drafted.

This OL is pretty good but not great. Leavitt has enough time to make plays but fails to execute them at a high percentage. Receivers as a group are avg for this level. They struggle to get separation, win on 50/50 balls, and drop key balls.

DL is not as great as we thought in first half of season. Now that we are playing conference teams pressure from the 4 DL has subsided.

In 2019 James Cregg was OL coach. Got fired for a scapegoat recruiting violation. He is back now. We will see what his role is going forward.
