not weird. Jones is just shite. Everyone knew he wasn't a good coach when he was hired, but we believed in the whole "he was recruiting to N Texas and of he gets good talent to a school like LSU, then that will probably outweigh his ineptitude of coaching", but alas, we were wrong. He's just not a good coach. Jones' place is being a butch Pierre-type coach. Recruiter only.

Until the administration or TAF tells Temple to go frick himself and tells dale to back the frick off nothing positive is going to happen for this program. They let these two and a bunch of JJs teammates and players have the say in who coached the team.

Conduct a search, pay the man and be done. frick, fire the piece of shite women's basketball coach that you are giving 1 mil a year too while your at it. Use some of that to hire a men's coach who is worth a shite. You pay the write person, this program can be consistent if not dominant.

It's time for the department to start putting the resources behind the second highest generating sport on campus. Go find a good coach and pay him top dollar, then put all the resources behind him and watch it grow

Men's and women's Basketball programs need critical reviews. The needs of both programs are apparent.

I had somewhat flashbacks of dale brown...but then again at least Dale's teams played decent defense and didn't quit on him....

And made the NCAA tourney 10 straight years. It was almost a given under Dale that LSU was going to the tourney.

He was 91-88 in the Sun Belt conference during his time at North Texas. His record there was VERY AVERAGE.

He helped transform Tony Mitchell from a lottery pick to a late pick flameout who's now in Venezuela.
