And 10-0 is not "beating our arse."

It was clear to anyone watching that game that they could have played 100 quarters and LSU wasn't scoring.
agreed- and 10 points in that game might as well have been 50. There was no way in heck Etling and company were going to score in that game. It was one of the worst shut downs I’ve ever seen by any defense on an offense. It looked like a middle school team going up against a college team. Now our defense against their offense was pretty darn good too but not as good as their defense obviously.

Kinda like last year?

When they beat our arse at home?

Uh, last year was one of the best games we played against them. Was 0-0 going into the fourth, and we had a chance (which is more than any other team not named Clemson or Ole Piss can say from last year).

That's not an arse-whooping. That was a competitive game in a season where most had every right to EXPECT an arse-whooping.

Just my two pennies, but still...

(edited to grudgingly add the RebBearSharks to the post...)

Uh, I watched the game, and yes - LSU's offense did struggle (we had our chances, though). That said, Aranda's Magic Pixie Dust (patent pending) looked like it would also keep the Red Horde out of the end-zone as well, meaning....

a field-goal could have won the game for either team.

Again, from a pragmatic point of view that was NOT your typical Bama beatdown. Both teams played an excellent defensive game for three quarters - and at the end of the game, our gassed defense finally gave up 10 points.

10-0.

And BTW, here's the rest of the scores from Bama's hit list last year:

vs USC: W 6 - 52 (+46 points)
vs Western KY: W 10 - 38 (+ 18 points)
@ Ole Piss: W 48 - 43 (+5 points)
vs Kent State: W 0 - 48 (+48 points)
vs Kentucky: W 6 - 34 (+28 points)
@ Arkansas: W 49 - 30 (+19 points)
@ Tennessee: W 49 - 10 (+39 points)
vs Texas A&M: W 14 - 33 (+ 19 points)
@ LSU: W 10 - 0 (+10 points)
vs MS State: W 3 - 51 (+48 points)
vs Chattanooga: W 3 - 31 (+28 points)
vs Auburn: W 12 - 30 (+18 points)

Other than Ole Piss (and Clemson), we had the lowest point differential against them than any other team that year - and that's AFTER they had a bye week to prepare for us. And, for the first three quarters, it looked like it would go either way.

Again, that's not an arse-whooping.

If Curley can take an LSU team that lost 58–3 to Florida at home and four weeks later beat the Gumps, 17–13, in Tuscaloosa, ending the Tide's 31-game unbeaten streak anything can happen this November 4th.
