They never really had a chance to show out. I have no comment good or bad about the RBs yesterday because of that.

If Brennan makes easy throws, it opens up the run. At some point, they knew brennan was scared, so they just confused him with coverages.

I guarantee TDP & Emery would thrive on a team like Clemson and OSU right now. Just because we can't figure out how to use them doesn't mean they aren't championship quality RBs. We had a sh*tty RB rotation yesterday. None of them were in long enough to gain any rhythm or confidence within the game. I like Curry, but he's not dynamic enough to be our RB1. He's more of the 'Darrel Williams' type talent for us.

Our RB usage yesterday was terrible as well. No creativity, No screens, and we rarely used in the passing game. The few times I saw them slip out for a pass, Brennan wasnt aware enough to see them open.

Well when you only run 1 or 2 different run plays. Throw on top of that the rotation allowing no rhythm and a QB unable to get first downs the chance of success was limited.

1st half our 3 running backs combined for just 8 carries

1st play of the game, last play of the half, the 2 at the goal line & just 4 other times the entire half.

Ran the ball 38 times for 80 yards. OL can’t block. States front dominated the LOS for some reason

I disagree. I thought the RBs played decent considering their opportunities were limited and playing calling was very predictable. The biggest problem I felt was we abandoned the running game way too early. With an inexperienced QB, we should have used the run to set up the pass, but we did the complete opposite. Brennan is clearly not ready and I'm not sure if he will ever be ready. We should have pounded the ball and allowed Brennan to throw in certain situations.

One of the few positives was outside of goal to go we were pretty solid in short yardage

I think TDP may be our best runner

Only 27 were running plays. Brennan had 11 runs which were sacks or scrambles.

107 yards on 27 carries for the 3 backs. That’s 4 yards a carry. I’ll take that all day. That’s an avg of 7 running plays a quarter. We didn’t give it to the backs enough to make a determination how the running game really is.

How can anyone make a comment on the RBs after the anemic air raid attempt we tried yesterday?
