at this point it is extremely unlikely.

it will likely be texas vs. florida/bama

I'd love to play Iowa in the Cap. One. Drilling them would excercise that 2004 demon. If you can't make it to the BCS, playing in the best non-BCS bowl with a chance to drill a team that pulled one out of its arse to embarrass you is the next best thing.

Why? Florida didn't drop when they played their weak teams. Style points are a must if we want to stay in the top 10 and have a shot at the BCS.

Also, if Bama gets it handed to them in the BSCCG, the voters might send a 10-2 LSU over them after the officiating scandal.

a loss by either team will make us drop as well. we are only as high as we are by virtue of them being that high. we will probably go up in the polls if they lose, but there is a possibility we could go down as well.

No, it just cant be done, since only 2 teams can represent each conference.

My question:

If BAMA drops trow in the Sugar Bowl again, and we win big in our bowl game, will we finish ranked above them?

I believe the BCS only allows 2 teams from a conference and teams ranked in the top 4 get an automatic bid. So I guess if there are 3 teams from the same conference in the top 4 the top two teams go to a BSC bowl.

So given that we are 8th now if Cinn, TCU, Pitt, and Boise St lose before the regular season and Fla, Bama, Texas, and LSU win out that would put the BCS standings before the SEC championship game as
1 Fla, 2 Bama, 3 Texas, 4 LSU

So the question would be if the pollsters would drop Bama below us and the computers would have us above Bama. I would say no.

Thus the final standings would be 1 Fla, 2 Texas, 3 Bama, 4 LSU. LSU would get left out.

But if Fla or Bama would lose before the end of the year and then lose in the SEC championship game LSU could get in a BCS bowl.

With that said I would book rooms for either Orlando or Dallas.

We will Play either Iowa or Penn State in the Cap One Bowl even if we drop another game. Cap One won't take Aubie over us.

I suppose it is a possibility, if the planets align...we will however, drop a spot or two after next week, due to playing a weak team...

No one else in the top 10 is playing a tough game except maybe TCU vs Utah...Ohio St vs. Iowa.

Pisser is this. If Florida or Bama lose, then our computer rating would drop.

Win out and let the chips fall where they may. If we win out and win our bowl, it is a top 10 finish in a projected off year.

Does not matter where they are ranked (top 14) only #1 and 2. can choose from the others. I think

We have close to no shot making the BCS, this is a retarded thread. We don't deserve it, either. I love these threads, hoping for other teams to fold miserably so that we have a chance of doing something respectable. Get used to that.

TCU and boise probabley wont lose, but cincy has two tough games and maybe pitt will drop one against notre dame. Texas could lose to Texas Radio or in the title game, because they totally suck donkey dick, now if lsu can be the highest team from a big-6 conference behind alabama and florida, it seems more and more likely

Because of this, not that. But still a hell of a lot to play for.
