We had the most impressive Week 1. Period.

Rankings don’t matter at this point but let’s just lay out facts. A lot of top teams dominated on Saturday. But for 4 quarters, we worked a P4 team with at least some NFL talent on it. At least with 1 week of a sample size, that’s more impressive than doing anything against:
Ball State
Texas State
Missouri State
Barely beating Bosie State
North Texas
Tennessee State
UTEP
Etc.

Agree we looked good , but this is not the Clemson of 5 or more years ago

I watched the game and saw that this team has the ability to be special.
Take this as areas for improvement (not criticism). I know it is their first game together but we need a little work on the passing game. I believe Leavitt was 19/28 or something like that.
I am not complaining just saying that we can improve and that should scare everyone.

It’s literally irrelevant…
BUT
It’s always hilarious to me that preseason rankings are a complete guess but then after the games are treated as a starting point that shouldn’t be over corrected.
There’s no universe where you don’t have us ranked near or at the top, just based on what’s been proven so far. Otherwise, what exactly are the rankings representing
