We f#cking won the national championship

The odd thing is it was such a dominant season there wasn't really a lot of drama
Only a handful of games were ever in any doubt and you had a feeling we'd win those anyway

Definitely the first time I’ve ever been 100% confident while in tough situations.

The third quarter vs Bama and from when Clemson went up 17-7 to Burrow's TD run were the only times where I had any shred of doubt.

It is unlikely that any other college football team can achieve what LSU did. The most important part of it, aside from all records and awards, is defeating 7 top 10 teams (5 of them on the road), not going to happen by any other team any time soon. Go tigers.

I don’t know if ill ever be as confident about an Lsu team again as I was this season.
Like coach O I knew this team was special after 3rd & 17 in the Texas game, then any lingering doubt was removed in the last 2 minutes of the first half against Bama. After that game I knew we were winning the natty.

Shite, we just saw the most prolific passing attack ever. From LSU! I needed to see us finish before I proclaimed us one of the best ever. Kind of a no name defense, but Joe was a man amongst boys.

You and me both brother. And I was at the game. I have some kind of weird remorse that I'm not fully appreciating this season because I wasn't surprised by us winning it all(I knew we were winning the NC after we beat the gumps).
I think I'm confusing excitement with gratification.

I definitely do. That's why I didn't mind dropping a pretty penny on tickets to the championship game. Money well spent and easily worth the price.

Because it happened in an actual playoff, on the field, and LSU had to go out and win successive games against #4 Georgia, then #4 Oklahoma, then #3 Clemson that had to beat #2 Ohio State, this feels so completely legit and over-the-top that this championship far surpasses in every way the last two national titles, and I was at one of those (2007). It DOES make it seem surreal and it also makes me appreciate more what Clemson and Alabama have accomplished by playing in the title game four times each.
