Michigan is not a top 20 team. However, they looked to have their shite together already and LSU has to shake the rust off. Hopefully the coaches make the appropriate adjustments instead of pulling the "tin cup" bullshite they did in the NC.

STFU.
Start pulling for Bama if you can't be an LSU Fan.

There is one constant over multiple seasons we can look at, play calling. If the stubbornness in play calling doesn't concern you then I don't know what to say. Les miles saying we want to open it up is lip service we have heard multiple times before, until proven otherwise.

How about "dumbasster"?

Execution was less than stellar. Mett will get killed if we don't protect better. The offense didn't look particularly smooth or efficient.

This was a Sunbelt team. We will have play much better vs UW and the conference. Will we? Yes! Mett will grow. The WR group looks solid and potentially could be great.

Regarding, the "vertical" game, it would be nice to see. It's exciting, helps with recruiting and will help us win a few.

Yeah,if you think everything isn't fricking perfect with the LSU Tigers,go cheer for another team.
This is without a doubt the dumbest shite on the rant, which is a huge fricking accomplishment

idaho isn't much, if any, worse than UNT

But, most of you would rather we force the ball downfield against what was, for the most part, a prevent defense from NT. I'll never understand this.

I guess 8 in the box can be considered prevent. Indubitably.

yeah we just destroyed them. going into the 2nd half they were down an insurmountable 17 points

That was insurmountable for North fricking Texas. Jesus, you people go full fricking retard after we roll an opponent by 4 touchdowns while having over 500 yards of offense.

I'm not freaking out about last night, but a single mistake on a miles team tends to be overly punished. I agree, Mett will probably be held back because of the pick, and he shouldn't be.

How in the frick did LSU win 13 without vertical passing then?

lots of luck and defensive/special teams plays that changed the game

How many years does Miles have to do the same thing before it becomes a trend to you? Mett killed himself with that red zone pick last night,Miles might let him throw it 10 times a game for the next several weeks

Not sure. How many games have we had a serviceable QB under center? We looked pretty good when Flynn was here, no?

Why don't people understand this. The offensive yardage numbers from last night don't mean shite. WR screens all night do nothing to help mett's in game experience

Mike Leach made his career at Tech running those screens all season long!

The sky is always falling for some LSU fans.

It was falling every week of the 13-game win streak last year.

Guys your realize we didn't practice last week.
Our RB's had no idea who to pick up on blitz packages. Blue almost got Met killed twice. Plus Mett was pulled from the game twice. Once for a hit to the head and once for cramping.
You don't jeopardize the season to elevate stats in a worthless game we won in the first 10 minutes.
I think Miles did exactly what he needed to.

Meaning if you pin your hopes to defensive and special teams TD's you're going to be dissappointed

Now I know you hardly watched the game. Please find an instance where NT pressed their coverage? They repeatedly gave up the underneath route in an effort to stop the big play, yet you all wanted us to force it anyway!?

All of our deep attempts were into pretty nice coverage, and Mett did fine. The only wide open play was set up by... the screens.

IMO, there are 3 concerns with the O. Blitz pickup, redzone execution, and WR separation. However, most on this board will lump all of their concerns into the vertical passing game quips, or say that the OL sucked.

I want examples of the "lots of luck"
we had that helped us win 13 games last year. We dominated every team but one.
