We just haven’t yet adjusted to the NIL era in football (like several big programs). The drop off in athletes is pretty obvious.

Zero passes down the middle of the field. JD will never have terrible stats but the truth is he’s not the QB this team needs to take it to the next level. I’ve said this before but his Athleticism is the reason the passing game and RB running game is limited. He has so much confidence in his ability to run, and rightfully so, that it affects his decision making in the passing game. He has never altered his game in 4 years.

What about he coaching staff? They deserve tremendous blame, and I don’t usually say something like that but it looked as if we had never practiced. What the hell did our off season preparation look like?

It was definitely embarrassing, but I’m going to hold out hope a little longer. They didn’t look too good game 1 last year and found a way to turn it around. Hopefully they’ll do it again this year.
