Winning programs of the past built teams. In today's world there are very few teams where players have been together long enough where they really know each other and have a common goal. You don't see that today on the field or sideline and I'm sure it's not in the locker room where it begins. Last year's national championship team was a team, our 2019 class was a team. With how college football is structured today we will see very few teams if we ever see one again. And our fan base expecting a NC team with a first year head coach with about 80% of the players having never played together before this year is a big part of the problem also.

Yep! I've been a Tiger fan since the mid 60's. Laid on bed many a night when I was a kid listening to games. Sold cokes in the stands for 3 years in the early 70's and went to many games throughout the 70's and 80's. I'll always be a Tiger fan, but this crap today is hard to watch. All players worry about today is money and the camera, they couldn't give a crap about LSU. Don't know any of these players and I'd bet hardly any even knows what a gumbo or etoufee even is.

I think there’s a generational disconnect that we’ve never seen before and it’s only getting worse. Largely in part to NIL and transfer portal but social media and legalization of gambling has also changed the landscape of the sport.
