We have all said the same thing each start of the season since 2019. Which is last time LSU won the opening game (so sad)
Since my daughter was in middle school and she starts college next week…

Thanks. Good post. You make great points about preparing for the season and trying to keep everyone healthy, but, they are all must wins.
USC had all year to get ready for us, as we did for them. Forget the last two openers and go out there and dominate.

Kelly's job at LSU is not on the line in any way, shape, or form. A loss to USC isn't going to change that
It's a must win game for LSU to make the playoffs most likely. Not a good look to lose to a West coast team.

In 2022 we lost to a VERY average FSU team and won the west. If we lose to USC, it’ll sting and make the season much harder but I wouldn’t pack my bags just yet. This far Kelly has shown that his teams are much better in October and November than they are in September.

Like I said it's a must win because...
You go on the road to A&m.. if they beat Notre dame a #6 team and end up being undefeated when y'all play that's a loss u can take if u get past Ole Miss.. and still be able to cushion another loss based of resume!
A 3 loss sec team isn't getting in point blank period.. a two loss will be on the hinges hoping to get in!
Looking at this schedule minus USC we have 2 maybe 3 games that will come down to the wire and losing to USC make things a lot more difficult to the path to the playoffs...
