Legit observation. This will show how in tuned w the sport he is or isn’t. Bargain bin or top tier hire will be dictated by donors either stepping up for baskets. Or blowing them off.

Verge can’t just coast on forever off a single hire, but he still gets rightful credit and had to actually convince Kiffin and make the hire.
We had many who didn’t want Lane to even begin with and then another too large percentage of others who wanted to move on because he didn’t finalize his decision and make it soon enough for their liking. And yet even more who seemingly questioned their own life existence because Kiffin didn’t have the entire portal class signed by end of day 1.
Never ever underestimate the stupidity of the Rantards on this board and the awful decisions they’d surely make.

LSU basketball should settle for nothing less than the NCAA tourney every year. If you were around for the Dale Brown era, you get it. If you win, they will come. Happens every time.

Men’s basketball like it or not is the second highest revenue sport. As bad as they are they still bring in money. If MBB is successful that’s even better. Wait till the seasons over and get the man needed to revive the program.
