Skip was a Great coach. I have seen nothing to be able to say she has the potential to be great. Maybe she'll change. I hope so, if she stays.

LSU will finish fourth the final national rankings losing to a team on a 30-game win streak who will play the SEC Champs who put us out. We lost to the two best teams in the NCAA.

To take that a step further:

Their 3 postseason losses were...in the SEC Tournament final to Auburn, playing for the National Championship...in the WCWS to Michigan, last year's National Runner Up and another WCWS semi finalist...and in the WCWS semi final to Oklahoma, the other team playing for the National Championship.

Let's not forget that after dropping the first game of the SR, they came back to beat James Madison twice on their diamond. Going into those final 2 SR games, JM had not lost at home all season and had a 50 - 4 record, that included wins over teams like Arizona, Arizona State, Tennessee and Auburn.

Congrats on a great season, ladies.

Bell(21) and Quinn(20) committed "41" errors this season. Bell is gone but if Quinn starts in the infield next season then the recruiting is overrated...

I always thought Jaquish was better at third than Bell but Jaquish is also the best catcher. Quinn has been so inconsistent. Makes great plays and can't produce on the routine.

Bell's bat is easy to figure. She drives in alot more than she lets in. Quinn is very average on offense and below average on defense. We are still short at a couple of positions but will continue to get better.

Congrats to Beth and the team on another unreal year!

yep, without a doubt. It's tough losing like this. No guarantees. it's not easy to win a regional or SR and definitely not a CWS.

For my fellow coaches and softball parents here hope to see you at the summer camps and summer and fall ball travel tourneys regardless whether you are playing ASA, FASA, USFA, USSSA or PGF sponsored tourneys.

Awesome the girls made it this far. Too bad we had those untimely errors last night....I think we could have won.

I have a feeling the Land Gumps will beat OU. Auburn is a good team, but they have gotten almost every break imaginable and have pulled several games out of their asses at the end. Their offense is fantastic and it's impressive that they manage to beat good teams when their pitching is marginal at best. I guess that goes to show you how important having good fundamentals are, especially on defense. I hope that is something we can improve on next season.

If the only thing that determines one being "a great coach" is a national championship then there are very few "great coaches" out there. Beth and staff have revitalized a program that had become stagnant. They have been to more WCWS the last 5 years than in the rest of the programs history combined.

The team plays and the staff recruits at the highest level EVER in this program's history. I'm not sure why I even post a rational thought in response to anything you write.

Cheers to the staff and the ladies on another historic year.
