Do yall think the admins would be ok with a softball sticky on the recruiting board? Specifically for all commits, for updates and other recruiting news on this team. The softball program has a lot of followers and I know for a fact a lot want to know about our recruits and how well they are doing.
So instead of me constantly making a thread that is anchored all the time, it'll be easy to find and posters can also share their observations of these players whenever they watch them in person.

I mean I don't see the big deal. LSU softball has gotten pretty huge. I see lots of guys my age (mid 20s) comment about the program and even post on social media at times. the secret is out that softball is surprisingly very fun to watch. I've followed them for years, so no surprise here
there will be random trolls here and there to derail the thread, but otherwise I don't see the issue with it

I just need an Admin to approve before I tackle this major recruiting thread project

I'd post the idea on the help board. good luck
Also the 2019 pitcher I asked you about that slipped my mind was Taylor Edwards. A shame if it's true she doesn't care anymore. that's a big chick that can sling it. would be a shame to waste such a talent

Springfield could probably hit a littlw better if she wasn't intensely chewing gum while at the plate.

There is no way her scholly will hold up with her play and lack of desire.

it just sucks because I felt like she and sunseri could maybe duplicate Hoover and Walljasper. I'm just nervous about the departure of those two after next year

Funny you mention that..I just noticed that this Sunday, she does chew gum.
Florida's second baseman, Nicole Dewitt, made a really difficult and key play in a game against Auburn and after she had caught the grounder, when she was throwing to first base, she blowing a bubble with her gum. She is super calm and probably the best defensive second baseman in all of college softball.
From what I see, her swing is way too slow and too long. If you notice when the ball is inside, and she abbreviates her swing and brings the bat around the ball goes way, way over the fence, like 30 or 40 feet past the fence. Once she gets her stance, elevation and swing all set, look out. She is going to chase Lauren Chamberlain's record of 95 homers.

Well I think we now know that Dawson is transferring. Her biggest fan just told everyone she won't be back. That's a shame, stick it out and prove us all wrong!

You know, every time we all bring up the "local kid" card I have to laugh. You really think a coach gives a shite where a kid is from?

It will be fine, Smith will be a senior after they leave. Sunseri will have time under Beth, and we add Wickersham who is considered one of the top pitchers in the country.
You have to start over eventually. In terms of offensive talent. We have a lot of power coming in the 2018 and 2019 classes. Clark will put up some nasty numbers at LSU. This past season she homered 9 times in the first 6 games
Don't know her final stats but her, Cummins, Tidwell, Perkins can all put up major power numbers. The 2019 class is extremely impressive as well. We have two Cali chicks who are the real deal. Both have been looked at by our national teams.

OU is going to have a dominant big pitcher (yeah i know shocking huh?) in a couple years. Cannot remember her name. She was in 8th grade when i saw her in 2014 in Houston at an exposure travel tourney. She can hit homers also. She was destroying girls way older than her. Wish i could remember her name.

yeah watched shelby on TV last year playing travel ball for the patriots. I first watched her in person at pitching lessons with Lennie Zeringue teaching her. She was 14 then. Knew she would be good.

Its rare to have hoover and walljasper type pitchers.
I still think LSU will be fine. I know a lot of people want to knock on Maribeth but I truly think her issues are all completely mental. Even since she was nailed in the face its been extremely hard. She needs to mentally be there to be where we want her to be. She has some really nice pitches, I think with our loaded staff it will allow her time to settle in and continue to develop as well.
Sunseri will be wonderful for us, her success on travel ball level spoke volumes as well

IDK. i would think she is still in high school. think she had just finished 8th grade in summer 2014 so she will be a senior next year. should see her at OU in 2019. Did brooke play for the texas bombers? I am almost sure this girl had just finished 8th grade and was playing on a 18U team! They played us and killed us!

For those of you writing off Gorsuch as a freshman, take a look at Selman these days. I dont think ANY of us thought she'd be better than a third pitcher on LSU's team... third at best, and she wins All-Big 12, and carried her team to the WCWS this year.
Give Gorsuch a chance. Give her time, sheesh, not everyone is an out the box star like Doyle is.

It'll be interesting with 5 pitchers next year. Curious how much time Sunseri will see. We just can't help it that we are just absolutely loaded. Walljasper, hoover and Smith will definitely be SEC play but I use Sunseri and Maribeth both will take up midweek opportunities.
I am also waiting to find out if we really are adding a transfer. Some poster apparently knows we are adding one so I am curious.
