Waters might be the most impactful player since Chris Jackson. I don't remember a player that had so much impact on an LSU team as he has this season. He is all heart.

There was more than one person on the 06 team alone more impactful. Hyperbole going to hyperbole

06 team had some freak athletes that could jump out the gym and played very well as a team. Easily one of the best teams in LSU history. I'm not hating on them just appreciating Waters. But I hope the 06 team is considered to be one lower level on the Totem pole after next year.

Waters is very good, but let’s pump the breaks a bit.

if we’re taking strictly “impact”, no one on the 06 team matches waters. when he’s on, we win. when he’s off, we lose by 30. is that not the definition of impact?

The evolution of Tyrus Thomas out of nowhere was a pretty huge factor to get to the final four.

When tremont plays well we beat Michigan in November.

Also agree with Thornton. He led a Trent Johnson coached team to 20+ wins and an NCAA tourney win. Not to mention we played UNC closer than anyone in that tourney

Very good players listed and Shaq is probably the second best player to play at LSU and probably the most dominant.

When I say impactful I just meant the way he makes the players around him better (seriously if he is not on the team how many wins in the SEC do they have? 2 maybe 3), his ability to hit shots any where on the court, and his ability to hit creative shots.

All I'm trying to say is he is fun to watch. Frankly I'm hoping to watch a deep NIT run this year.

Also 4 down votes for saying the kid has heart. What is wrong with LSU fans. LOL.

a better argument for him as well than any 06 player. take waters/simmons off their respective teams and how many games do they win?

take one player off the 06 and how many games do they win
