JD5 is more accurate, but I wonder if there is still a chance he can put on some weight being in his early 20s.

They’re about the same size coming out of college.

Comparing what LJ does in the NFL compared to what JD5 did in one collegiate season is silly.

NFL scouts entire job is to find player comps. It’s a legitimate comparison. Their running styles are definitely eerily similar

I can remember how ridiculous we made LJ look in the bowl game. Don’t know what will happen with JD, but he has a great chance to be every bit the player LJ is IMO.

But he said that JD5 is more accurate. Now, if he'd said that JD5 is more accurate that LJ coming out of college, I would get behind that.

Their running styles could, quite literally, not be further from comparable

Lamar runs like a receiver or a RB. Dude makes ELITE cuts that are quite shocking. He’s very very fast, but his agility and making people miss is where he thrives.

Jayden glides. He probably runs a 4.4 but people think he’s runs a 4.7 because it looks like he is jogging. He can’t just straight break your ankles though. He is slippery and then can hit a hole and go

Was with you until the ankle breaking part bc JD did that all the time, just flushing people so hard they'd whiff, dive and fall down without putting a hand on him from point blank range.

Honestly I think their biggest comp is that they both have a very calm low key demeanor about them which allows them (at any level) not to get rattled when things are not going their way. For an NFL QB, that’s way more important than measurables or play style. It’s an accurate comp.

Haven’t we all put on weight since our early twenties?

I would think that is strongly implied since JD has not played an NFL down.

Jayden was significantly better at passing than Lamar in college.

I was about to say the same thing about their athleticism. Lamar Jackson might have the best agility of any player in the NFL, on top of being really fast. JD’s game is more around straight line accelerating and speed.

Accuracy is accuracy; it doesn't matter whether you are in the NFL or college.

Lamar was 216 lbs at the combine. Jayden is probably 195 tops. Lamar was/is definitely thicker.

There's a clip out there of him embarrassing a Gump and making him fall down like he's on an AND1 highlight clip that says otherwise.

Lamar also has a canon for an arm. It has not always been accurate, but he has one the stronger arms in the NFL.

Well JD is a better football player. He’s more dynamic, had a better college career against better competition, more accurate passer etc. I’m sure some people will get upset with potential over nfl record. I get that. There isn’t a single thing that Jackson can do on a football field that Jayden does not have the skill and talent to do as well or better. Some of this can be disregarded as opinion until JD is in the league but I don’t consider this info to be a secret and I think if you were to talk to nfl personnel guys that look at tape all day long, they would back up what I’m saying. This doesn’t take a deep dive.
