I have ESPN+ but my parents (in their mid 80’s) do not. They have been able to use the firestick to watch games on SEC Network Plus all season. This week, they suddenly could not access the log in page when they chose Cox as their provider. I reset, reinstalled, etc, the firestick and App, then called Cox. I was told effective May 1, 2025, you can no longer access the ESPN app thru Cox. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Sounds like BS unless they recently switched to a package that doesn’t include SEC Network. Sounds more like an issue with the Firestick or app. Do you know what it says when they try to log in?

I just used it yesterday to watch the game and it was working for me. Granted, it was on my desktop PC and not through a fire stick, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference

From my experience this is a fire stick issue. I run into the same problems. I log fully in through att on espn plus and it rarely works. Fortunately once it does work it stays logged in a while. It’s a joke. Restarting the fire stick usually gives me the best results but it’s never fool proof

I had this issue recently with one of my friesticks. I can get it to log into espn at all though cox. The log in page will never load to enter my info

Grab a Roku instead. They are much more user friendly and overall better interface than a fire stick.

This may not be the issue but I had this issue for years with Cox and ESPN.
When authorizing via provider using your phone make sure to TURN WIFI OFF. And do it via cell signal. For some reason Cox and ESPN never liked it when I was on the same wifi as the device I was trying to authorize.
