I talked to the webmaster about this just the other day. I was told that only a few of the home games are gonna be shown on the Geauxzone this season. So, it depends on how bad you want to see the games. All things considered, $10 a month is a pretty good deal. I've had it for about two years now and, have no regrets.

The quality is OK. They only use one camera and it's behind homeplate. You do miss some action because of the single camera and they don't have replays, but it's not terrible and I've watched baseball games on it for a couple years when I wasn't there. It's better than nothing.

i've used it to watch home games the last couple of years; i don't have any real complaints. it is nice to be able to see at least some of the action.

Where do you live? If you're in the range of radio you should just listen to the games. Baseball is Jim's best sport. He really gets into it and paints a great picture!

Crowds haven't been that big on midweek games unless it's a Tulane or ULL game. This is a new year, new stadium and highly ranked team though, so the crowds should be bigger.

I emailed Bill Franques at LSU about this, see below, emails are chronilogically from bottom up...

Greg:

Please see below. Todd should have more information next week.

Thanks for your inquiry.

From what I understand, Bill, we’re still in the process of figuring out these details on a game-by-game basis.

Some games will be just one camera, while others will be two or three. However, what will be different is that the video size will be larger than it was in the past (480x360).

Hope this answers your question. Should know more in the next week…

Sir,

I am considering joining the Geaux Zone for the upcoming baseball season to watch the home games online. My question is related to camera angles, etc., with regards to the new stadium. Will there be any enhancements to the camera work as compared to the old stadium? I had the Geaux Zone before, and was just curious if there will be any differences with the new facility. Thank you for your time.

ive had the geuaxzone to watch baseball games since the 2006 season and the quality seems to get better every year. The quality for this season should be really good and yes all home games will be broadcast so it's worth it

I've had it for the last 2 seasons and I thought it sucked. It would cut out every 20 or 30 seconds.
