Most definitely but if you've watched any football in your entire life you know that teams that turn the ball over don't win very often.
How do we know he hasn't matured in the actually game. Give him a shot. Because obviously JJ hasn't.

With all the Jefferson does poorly you have to admit he's a safe as they come.
The only man that never fails is the man that never tries.
We won 8 games in 2008 with an absolutely horrible defense. Put this year's Defense, with the exact same offense from 2008 (including the same play results including INTs and Pick 6s) and we win 10 or 11 games that year.

I don't have to, because I'm not a Chicot stump jumper I forgot more about football than you will ever come close to knowing.

Yeah, it was many times that JJ didn't look past his primary receiver.
No, not even close in the game he played last Saturday, and I should know because I have already re-watched the game once on my big screen and twice on line.

At this point I wish they would even if it would cost us a victory just to silence all the JL homers.

Even with INTs we averaged more points with JL than JJ...enough said.
Uhm in 2008 we had a much better offensive line and much better running game. However, when JL finally got a chance to redeem himself last season, he miserably failed with the 2009 offensive line and running game. Why is that you think?

because the oline sucked last year.

You are so correct. That is because JJ took off running when his primary receiver wasn't open. Thus, the play was recorded as a rush and not a pass play.
You better go re-watch the game and stop making a fool out of yourself.

thats what they are saying, since we fixed the oline then lee would do better than 97 yards a game. yes we know that he threw pick 6s but hes older now, has had more practice, and has a stout defense behind him

I want to know why it has to be one or the other.
Most of JJ's bashers refuse to acknowledge anything good that he does.
From the game on Saturday, I saw him operating the offense rather than participating within it. He made several audibles. He made a handful of checkdowns.
Does that make him amazing? No.
But it also doesn't make him a complete liability.
All of the drives but one that sputtered into FGs in the 1st half weren't on JJ. The other was a slightly overthrown fade that still probably could have been caught.
One was a well designed screen pass that would have gone for a TD. The DL made a nice leaping play to knock it down and Barksdale didn't do a good enough job blocking him to stop that. Otherwise, that's a TD.
Another one, TT runs a slant across the middle, Clement looks lost and runs right into the path of his route. TT undercuts him, JJ hits him, but he's 2 yards short of the first down that he would have had if Clement didn't interrupt his route.
On another Shep dropped a 3rd down pass that he had a little room to run and could have put us in a 4th and very short at worst.
The last was a protection breakdown where JJ had to hurry a thrown and got hit.

Here is Crowton's reasoning:
JJ takes care of the ball.
He gives maximum effort.
He can run well and move the chains with his feet.
he's a disaster on the deep drop so we can't run that more than ocassionally.
He's reasonably accurate on the roll-out.
The roll-out shortens the field for him, simplifies his reads, allows him to use half the field or run as is neccesary for an INSTINCTIVE qb (as opposed to a cerebral qb).
JL, who is a gunslinger and someone with a lot of hero and big -play ability in him has a habit of throwing pick sixes.
These pick sixes cause us to LOSE.
The point of the game is to WIN.
Let's go with the guy who gives us the best chance to win.
Especially given the ferocity of the Defense.
Who cares if it's not pretty, with our D we should have a chance to get good field position, get up on teams, grind it out and get the W.
We have to take the world as it IS rather than how we wish it were.
Disagree all you want, call people names, throw a chair, cry like a bitch-arse punk, whine like a punk-arse-bitch, but this is the deal.
Learn it, Live it, Love it.
Embrace your team.
The season is almost 1/3 over.
It's going to be a GREAT year.

Why does everyone fail to remember that J Lee consistently failed to check down or "scan the field" for other recievers? It was one of his worst attributes that lead to the opponent's defense being able to consistently intercept him? Lee doesn't do it, Jefferson doesn't do it, but at least don't just blame one
Short memories? I'm a Tiger Fan...not a Jefferson fan...or a Lee fan.. Let's compare apples to apples.

Tired of arguing with an idiot.
You are the nut rubbing buddy of JL, which is why you started this entire thread to begin with. You wanted to vilify JJ and lobby for JL, which is why your third post claimed that JL should be the starter instead of JJ. You were too stupid to figure out that someone who knows far more about football than you do would come along and expose you for the shyster you really are. Get out of here you loser; you have zero credibility and you are also more than a little mentally deficient!

because the oline sucked last year.
But at the same time JJ was able to hit over 61 percent of his passes even with an offensive line that sucked while JL could only hit 40 percent of his passes and against weak opposition like La Tech.
