more importantly who could we have gotten the year we didn't sign a QB in 2006? That person would be Junior this year and would have been starting instead of the famous RP...who was available in 2006 that we didn't get?

how is he a bust? He was thrown in lsat year when he was not ready at all. People expected way to much. He has gotten no experience this year, but some people still expect him to come in and light it up

I thought you were the one starting all the threads that Lee would instantaneously come in and jump start the Offense with his vertical passing game.

Hey he is doing his best. He is trying way too hard not mess up. For his sake he should transfer tomorrow and leave us in a world of hurt. And who should start. Dont say Sheppard have you seen him throw in a real game (not the spring game shite). Lighten up he is a 19 year old kid. give him a break. Did 90000 people boo you when you screwed up at that age. Its just a game!!!

While JL might not be the superstud everyone hoped for, in his defense, he has not had much playing time at all, and from where I was sitting, the receivers were frequently covered. The problem was far more than Jarrett Lee.

An early poster said give him a break since he is only a RS sophomore. Well Sam Bradford was a RS sophomore last year and made it to the championship game with a Heisman in his hand. While I am not bashing Lee for trying and working hard, he just does not seem to be an elite QB. Why did Texas and A&M not recruit him, they are located in his backyard? Maybe they saw more to it, plus everyone in Brenham is a UT fan and you know he grew up a Texas fan too, that entire town is burnt orange.

What is your sails pitch to a elite 2006 recruit at QB when your redshirting another elite qb that year. "Hey come to LSU and either compete with RP for four years or redshirt and play your 5th year. But non of that matter anyway because we know in now we will eventually kick RP of the team" sound like a winning line to me i know. NOt much better option for a 2007 qbto get 2 years.
