Go make your millions brother. Come back to us as a coach when you’re done wrecking the league.

Fair enough. As long as you—and everyone else who shares this sentiment—extend Ed Alexander the exact same courtesy.

They were making millions 15 years ago, but they stayed all 4 years! Perfect example was Bradie James and bad example was Trev Faulk.

Another great example:
Kevin Faulk. He said LSU honored their commitment to him and he was going to honor his commitment to and play his senior year.

I guess I'm just selfish, I would love for him to return.

It would be awesome for him to return, but it would also be stupid to return. The guy is fixing to make millions and risking injury by coming back just doesn't make sense. He has represented LSU well and I'm sure he will represent LSU well in an NFL uniform!

It's not selfish to hope he returns. Selfish is wanting something for personal gain. This is wanting something for the benefit of the LSU community.
With that said, this narrative is getting suspicious. First, it wasn't that long ago when it was the norm to play a full collegiate career with relatively few exceptions. Even in the recent past, there's many examples of star players returning for a senior year, with very few examples where draft stock was hurt by returning.
With so many spewing the narrative that White MUST go, I can't help but wonder if some outside propaganda has infiltrated the rant. It's beginning to remind me of 2015 when Fournette was having a monster sophomore year. I wasn't on the rant then, but I recall an unusual amount of people in the media and on other boards calling for an exception to allow Fournette to go pro early. God forbid LSU have a truly star player... I wonder where that narrative is originating.

All the people on here who say these top players should leave early forfeit your rights to complain about the lack of depth and our inability to hold par to teams like Bama.
I am not saying these people should go or stay but when you cultivate that expectation as the norm you have put the program at a disadvantage.

I’m not a fan of any of these kids individually. I’m a fan of the TEAM that plays football for LSU. This logic above is what’s wrong with this younger generation.

If he stays it is as foolish and Ed going. He has been nothing but class and the position he will be selected, top 5, make it the right move for him.

Need to focus on who's up next to fill his role.

The problem is there are at least 30 top 5 picks out there...

You do realize what you think is best for Devin White is just your own opinion right? I am a fan of the kids, but I am a fan of LSU first and for that reason I would prefer they stay and help us win football games. I do not get angry when they leave early, because that is their decision to do so, but our own fans telling them they are stupid if they stay and such is beyond self deficating as a fanbase.

This dude has done absolutely everything the right way at LSU, and is the epitome of what an LSU Tiger should be. He should 1000% go to the draft. It's what's best for him, and he's earned it and then some.
ive said this many times, and gotten blasted for it.

It just astounds me that any fan would really want Devin to come back, when it's crystal clear that it's time for him to go and change his and his family's life.

I love Devin as much as any LSU player ever, but I want him to go. It's his time.

A fan of the LSU football team would want every player to come back their senior year.

Well fricking said

The selfishness of so called “fans” hoping for kids to make the wrong decision for themselves and their futures so it can help their sports team is just weird.

no, it is just fricking weird to hope for your best player to leave early. Regardless, you should respect Devin Whites decision, what ever it is, and stop projecting what you think is most important about your life onto what is important to him in his life.
