Excluding some of Pete Maravich's wild statlines. Where does it rank?

Yes, I beat down of epic proportions, made the 2007 Virginia tech game look close.

I always think about that Mississippi State game JaMarcus had back in '06 and how dominant he was in the first half. Found the box score and nope.........not even close to Burrow

No. Saw West Virginia beat Clemson 70-0 in the Orange Bowl.

I am ALWAYS the last one to label anything as the best, the greatest, the ultimate. . . I've never been one for hyperbole. But that performance by LSU last Saturday beats all I've ever seen from an LSU squad in my 51 years upon this earth.

This year has been a great run so far, but it isn't over. There's one last hurdle to overcome, and it may well be the toughest. There's just no real way of knowing how good Clemson is. They have only played one truly outstanding team so they haven't had to tip their hand.

If this team does indeed go 15-0 by winning the national championship, I will finally agree to declare this the greatest Tiger football team of all time. LSU hasn't gone undefeated since 1959. I hope this is the year.

Insofar as your original question goes, well, I must say that yes, yes it was. I've never seen anything like what Burrow did in the game against OU.

Rohan and Josh Reed vs. Alabama would be up there for me as is Faulk's performance vs. Houston but the Peach Bowl performance is definitely top 3.

I would say it’s right up there.

He could have thrown 12 TDs and LSU could’ve scored 100 if they really wanted to.

Against a 12-1 team ranked 4th in the country, it’s unprecedented dominance.

Yeah that was pretty much a perfect game for JR, 18/20 330 3, but the volume just wasn’t comparable to JB.

That game and the Sugar Bowl against ND along with Rohan against Alabama and Illinois in 01 have pretty much been the standard for QB performances at LSU imo, with Mett’s MSU game in 13 rounding out the top 5 (although he did throw a pick which messed up his stat line).

But you don’t even have to limit this to LSU, that performance was up there with the best in CFB history all time.

The standard for perfect games had also always been OU over AM 77-0 in 03.

49-0 at halftime, TDs on every drive of the first three quarters except one.

Jason White was 16/18 with 5 TDs, which is insane, but for only 268 yards, which again pushes JB well over that performance imo.

This was the first thing that came to mind. But I think Burrow takes the cake. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe it.

He put the game away at halftime, legitimately wondered at halftime if some starters would play at all in the second half. This was a playoff game, not a week 1 matchup against an FCS school. It was remarkable

Yes. Joe Burrow accounted for 8 touchdowns against the #4 team in the country in a National Semi-Final. It was the greatest single performance in LSU history
