Was 2010 the most exciting LSU season of all time?

For some reason, the 2010 LSU v. Florida highlights popped up on my YouTube feed, and that game got me thinking was 2010 the wackiest year in LSU history?
And by that I mean have we ever had a season with as many crazy, wacky things happening ON THE FIELD?
Here is a log of that season:
Sept. 4 - Chik Fil A Kickoff v. UNC - Patrick Peterson had maybe the greatest game in the history of LSU in terms of kick/punt returns. He had 257 yards on 7 kick and punt returns. However, all of those returns caused him to miss many plays in the second half because of cramps (same thing happened in the fourth quarter against Bama in 2009 allowing Julio Jones to ice the game with a long TD), allowing UNC to come storming back from 20 points down. It came down to a fourth down stop on the last play of the game at the 6 yard line.
Sept. 25 - Home v. West Virginia - Nothing too wacky about this one, but it did include the famous Patrick Peterson Heisman pose. And it does remind me that early in the season, Patrick Peterson was considered a Heisman frontrunner because of this game and the UNC game.
Oct. 2 - Home v. Tenn. - Craziest ending in the history of Tiger Stadium. Period.
Oct. 9 - at Florida - Craziest ending in the history of the Florida series.
Oct. 23 - at Auburn - Auburn dominated us for much of the game, but the bend but don't break Chavis defense was in full force, with a tie game midway through the fourth quarter when Ontario McCaleb went for a 70-yard TD against a completely gassed defense. Cam Newton won the Heisman in this game and in the Iron Bowl, but I think it was this game that initially made him the frontrunner.
Nov. 6 - Home v. Alabama - Our last win at home v. Alabama (hard to type that). While the ending wasn't too wacky, Alabama did have the ball in their hands on the last play. And this game had one of Les' greatest play calls, that double pitch to DeAngelo Peterson that went down to the 3 yard line on fourth down. One of my favorite moments of the Miles era. Also had a super-exciting 70+ yard Jefferson to Randle TD that completely changed the complexion of the game in the third quarter.
Nov. 20 - Home v. Ole Miss - A wild back and forth game against an extremely undermanned Ole Miss squad playing in their bowl game for the year. Stevan Ridley scored with less than a minute left to give us the lead and the win.
Jan. 7, 2011 - Cotton Bowl v A&M - The beginning of our recent dominance over the Aggies. Also, the national coming out party for Tyrann Mathieu who was ridiculous in this game. Terrance Toliver had 3 TDs in his last game and in his home state. A&M jumped out to a 10 point lead and were all geeked up about it. We then proceeded to outscore them 41-14 for the rest of the game. Beautiful. Finally, this game gave us momentum for the greatest regular season we had ever seen from an LSU team, until last year.

UNC 2nd half sucked... Tennessee game sucked besides first and last play of game. Florida was fun. And Kicking Bama's arse at home was awesome. We should have beat Arky but Karnell Hatcher gave them 14 points. and then A&M was just a total slaughter after the first 5 minutes of game
Also wish we didnt play so conservative vs Auburn....

Not even
It was frustrating as shite. Nearly choking that unc game, wvu was a blah game other than the PP return TD, Tennessee was a shitshow, Florida should’ve been a beatdown but came down to that ridiculous fake fg, JJ’s 30something total yards vs Mcneese, shouldn’t have lost to arky. The Auburn game sucked but i wasn’t necessarily anticipating a W that day
The state, bama, and aggy games were the only really complete games. It felt like the season didn’t even start till the Florida game.

How can you not say last year was the most exciting??
Perfect season, national champs, heisman winner.. plus countless of other awards.
We literally swept every award in college football

Depends on what you mean by exciting.
2019 takes that for obvious reasons.
2007 and 2010 were pretty damn entertaining, dramatic, engaging, entertaining...whatever word you use.
2007 with the ideal ending of course, but 2010 was pretty fun. While it ended with with the A&M Beat down, it could have easily been in the Sugar Bowl vs OSU. Beat Bama, lose to Arkansas

That was my last Alabama game as a student. I have honestly never even considered that it was the last home win against them. Holy shite.

When we lost to Tennessee.....and then won.

2019 had the combination of us actually being reallly good and having close games.
I can’t speak for 2003 but 2007 and 2011 both had absolutely frustrating moments. I can’t say I was ever that frustrated at the 2019 team. We kind of let teams back into games in auburn, Florida, and Alabama but it wasn’t nearly as bad as watching us give up big leads and lose or completely spin our wheels on office like in past seasons.

2007 was much more exciting than 2010.
2019 is the GOAT

2010 holds a special place in my heart. I was a 20 year old sophomore at LSU and it was the only year I lived on campus. Had so much fun tailgating and living at SHADYS that season. The season started with low expectations I think we were ranked 20-something coming in. Then we roared out to a 7-0 start to get in the top 7 before falling by a TD to Cam (I remember I couldn’t sleep the night before that game)
The Bama game was amazing and was the most fun I’ve had at a bar post game (shadys). The Arkansas disappointment fricking sucked though, kept us out of the sugar bowl. Would have been a perfect end to the season, but kicking the shite out of A&M in the cotton was cool too

Sure, if you pretend that last season didn’t exist.

I’d have to go with 2003. We had a great team, a special, exciting season and won the first National Championship at LSU in 43 years. It was incredible. Last year was No 1(a).
