That's fascinating to me. I had no idea. And he probably had our account at Woodlawn HS in 1992.
Selling Class Rings and yearbooks sounds kind of silly in 2019 but imagine the 60s-70s having Warren Rabb coming out to schools around Louisiana to meet with Juniors at class ring time.
Win-win for both parties there.
Found a blurb about his 'recruitment' to work for Jostens
after football was done for him in 63.

Winning the national championship in 1958 brought celebrity, and in some cases hastened success for several guys on the team. “I got a job because of it,” Rabb says. He had intended to be a coach—he’d already accepted a job at Central. But Jostens, maker of graduation rings, caps, gowns and now yearbooks, recruited him as hard as any blue chipper. Someone at the Minneapolis-based company saw what a charismatic, valuable salesman Rabb would be. First they worked him with phone calls, the first one at 1:30 a.m. Then they flew in a recruiter with an offer he couldn’t refuse. Rabb started out at about $8,400 a year. “And 45 years later I’m still doing the same thing.”

I bought my High School class ring from Mr. Rabb 37 years ago. He showed up with Superbowl rings and let me put all four of Terry Bradshaw's rings on my hand, needless to say, I was sold!! Great salesman and GREAT TIGER!!!

I met Rabb in the school yard at Denham Elementary, when I was in 3rd grade. He was sweet on Ms Bridges, and I think they married.

Not just a great QB but like all the offensive starters, he played both ways for the majority of games. On Cannon's punt return against O.Miss, he and Cannon made the game saving tackle on 4th and one from the one yard line.

Lot of great memories there. It was a different game :-)

He was undefeated in 1960 for the Buffalo Bills. Four wins, no defeats as a starting QB for the Bills. He is simply the field general for the 1958 National Champion Fightin' Tigers of LSU.

Got my ring from him in 1968. I was class of '69 @ BRHS (not a magnet then).
He is a Tiger legend.
