All our RB's bring something new to the table when they touch the field. Ware is the bruiser, Ford is the flash, big play back, Blue is the mix of both, and Magee is the quickster.
While I was confused to not see Ford this past Saturday I think it had more to do with the week that Blue had endured. I think we'll see plenty more of Ford.
This is a good problem to have.

I think Blue runs soft. He had one good run that I remember in FL game but looks like he goes down with little contact. I will take the Ware/combo anyday.

Could Ford have a nagging injury not being reported?
I think this is likely. Probably a little nicked. Ware has barely gotten carries in a couple of our games this year. I think it's clear we want all our backs pretty healthy for the end of the season.

Ford has completely whiffed on a couple of blocks.. He tends to put his head down and just dive at were the blitzer/DE legs were last time he saw them, and they simply side step it and get in JL's face causing a quicker pass

I love Ford as a runner. What distinguishes him from the other backs, IMO, is that he is a threat to break it every carry (also true of Shep, if you call him a back). And I think we need that in later games.
However, I have seen him flounder as a blocker, esp in pass protection. Don't know what the problem is, because he's very strong. Pass blocking requires knowing the schemes and lots of desire. Maybe there's a problem with one or both of these things.
Also, don't know if that's why he has been essentially benched. It's clear that Miles is trying to communicate something, though.

I'm not even one who typically notices these things, but I have definitely noticed Ford's poor blocking.

Are you kidding? Blue is a hard nosed runner. he doesn't have the silky moves that Ford has but he's tough as nails - much tougher than Ford. Ford is not playing because he's lazy. Blocking is not about talent, it's about competitiveness. Ford hasn't developed that yet. There is no championships without that competitiveness. Bench Ford until he suffers enough to develop it. It'll make LSU a better team and Ford a better man.

This.
Ware, Ford, Blue, and Magee have all trucked at least a couple guys this year, made some good cuts, and have enough speed to maintain or create separation when the opportunity presents itself. This is huge advantage going through the defenses we have to go through this season.
