If it comes out that he wasn't going to class, cheating, or whatever, and then bolts to the NFL, I'd be highly disappointed and I would be left with an extremely bitter taste in my mouth about him and his career.
I agree. I guess it goes to show that no matter how well they speak and how mature they appear to be, they are still 18-22 year olds and prone to doing stupid shite on occasion. But I did think Ridley was better than this.

Failing to get a 2.0 considering the fact that he is probably in a bullshite major, getting all kinds of personal tutoring from professors and help at Cox Auditorium, concessions made for student athletes traveling to away games, and the fact that he goes to LSU (my alma mater and school I love...but not the most academically challenging for a student-athlete to stay eligble)...unacceptable.
this.
i don't feel sorry for athletes that can't hack it in the classroom .. and spare the "how hard they work at their sport and how much time they put into their sport" lines ... the cox academic center greatly softens that blow .. people go to school .. take 15+ hours a semester and then work 40 hours a week to pay next semester's tuition and books ..

I don't understand what folks have seen in Ford so far in games.
Perhaps they've seen practices or watched him in HS.
He's clearly fast and strong.
However, he has nowhere near the vision, cut back ability, agility or elusiveness of Ridley. And Ridley knows his assignements and can block. If we judged backs physical specimens, Keiland would have been All American...

Maybe Ridley can claim that his dad handles all of his academic matters. And he didn't know about whatever the problem was. That should clear him.

Per Brian Lazarre on 1210 this morning
TIFIW, Lazarre & Ott discussing it this am indicated ineligible for "single instance of Academic Imporpriety". What that means I have no idea, but SIAP where someone "close to the situation" felt bad for the kid because of a "misunderstanding". What in the he'll that is I have no idea, but it does not sound like "low perfuming grades" or like he wasn't going to class. Miles in his pressed this am did say they were appealing the ineligibility, for whatever that means.
Just adding some clarification to dispell the failing out of school rumors, sounds like the kid has a good foundation.

Ive been in a marketing class with him before and he went to every class and was probably the best presenter in the entire class on one of the projects. he also seemed like he was on top of his shite. im kind of surprised by this....he must have had one assignment/test grade that killed him in a class...
he does seem to be an incredibly bright kid with an engaging personality .. it does surprise me ..
Academically ineligible doesn't just mean GPA.

I guarentee he did not simply fail a class. The dude works his arse off and is a bright kid. I knew him in high school. I don't know what the issue is...cheating maybe?, but I'd bet the farm that he didn't flat out just not make the grades.
