Maineri gets his team to the Final 16 of the tournament.

Wade does not. Wade loses in the round of 32, the exact equivalent of a baseball regional.

No "strong offers" in Maineri's world either.

But, "Wade is the best" and "Maineri needs to go."

You may now present your lame excuses.

Very different sports. Very different stages of the programs.

Your gung-ho hatred of Wade shtick was overplayed 2 years ago buddy. Do you lose sleep at night with William running through your head so much? I have never seen somebody with such an infatuation with someone before. The “case” you presented is garbage and you know it. You do know Paul just retired, and Will has no intentions of being anywhere else right? I enjoy when LSU basketball wins a tiny bit more knowing how much it pisses you off. Get use to Wade making deep runs for years to come.

Getting drummed out of the second round is not a deep run. There is always a lot of big talk about what he's going to do. So far, he has not done it.

Between Wade and Mainieri, which coach began his season with a freshman pitcher as his starting 3rd baseman?

Not that I’m on his side because I really like Will Wade and am glad Mainieri is retiring but that kind of helps his argument that Will Wade had a better team and still didn’t make it as far as Mainieri in the post season. But yeah OP is still an idiot for whatever point he is trying to make.

perspective and relativity should be considered in any such comparison like this.

Thank you sir for recognizing that my argument is correct. It is time for Wade to be held to the same standard as other coaches. I'm tired of seeing the basketball program relying on big talk about what's going to happen

If the team doesn't get to the Sweet 16 this year then Wade needs to go.

There is no exact equivalent between basketball & baseball. If there was, Mainieri would’ve lost in the round of 64 by losing the opening game.

Baseball team lost 3 times before they were eliminated from the tournament. Comparing that to single elimination is dumb, but very on brand for you.

Wade has a great job at LSU. All he has to do is recruit talent with his strong offers. When they underperform, which always seems to always be the case, the Wadeophiles make excuses for him.

It is time to back up the big talk.

The Five-Year Plan argument it's just another excuse for failure. The team was loaded with Talent and would have easily gone to the Sweet 16 had the team been properly coached. Wade is a great recruiter, albeit with possibly suspect methods, whose teams never perform up to their potential.
