NC State doesn’t have a track record of hiring elite coaches. Wade is a great recruiter and will go as far as the boosters will pay for him to go. The boosters preferred him over Gainey (the AD Corrigan preferred Gainey) so only time will tell.

Difference with what Kansas-Arizona did is neither school is a football school like LSU so protecting the football team at cost of WW being let go was warranted, he paid players from his joint checking account, come on man gotta be smarter than that and by the way Zona did fire Miller over allegations

Yea that was the talk while he was here. I remember. But based on the coaches before & after him, he’s still one of the best at LSU. It speaks more to our standards than his ability. We’re not a perennial blue blood basketball powerhouse. UK has run 2 coaches out of town who would’ve hands down been the best in our history (Tubby, Cal) because their standards are higher.

He never claimed to be great. His words, "I just want to consistently have the talent to compete. Maybe some season I will have the talent that gets "Hot" at the right time and we can win it all."
Take away the talent and John Wooden would have been average.
Did Saban win Championships with average talent? Hell No!
Did Orgeron win a Championship with average talent or was it is superlative Coaching?

Bottom line is LSU is a Football school and AD made decision to protect football at the expense of a replaceable coach and I admit he was good for LSU and CMM was/is a bad hire but not a lot of better options when hire was made

He's good at his craft but elite entails titles irrespective division and stand the test of time

I wasn’t on TD today but I knew I’d come on here and see some retards talk about how Wade is overrated because he didn’t lead Mcnese to a championship in year 2
