We lost waters at the point and his scoring and we also lost our big defensive presence in the middle with Bigsby-Williams last year. I think this team has performed about at the level I expected but maybe a little worse on the defensive side. We make the tournament but we won't last long.

And with the way WW is recruiting this 2020 class, LSU could be poised for a deep tournament run next year... Depending on who from this current roster stays, and who they finish with, the team could be pretty stacked next season

Good Lord basketball has brought out even bigger idiots than football. I didn't think it was possible.
Wade's recruiting class was cut down by what Alleva did last year and it really hurt this year's team. This team overachieved the first half of SEC play and has come back down to reality. The lack of depth bc of the recruits that we ended up losing out on is now coming in to play.
Those of you who hate on Wade are just idiots. The guy turned around the basketball program amazingly quick. While most programs would require a complete rebuild with down years, Wade was able to rebuild this team while also keeping it competitive. It's actually quite amazing how he did it. But, like I said, us losing those recruits really hurt us this year. The lack of a big man and a true point guard is hurting us and causing us to have to play people out of position. Truth is, this team probably shouldn't have made the tourney, but here we are, without depth and without other things I listed and still with a chance to make the tourney. The fact some of you think Wade isn't doing a good job shows your lack of basketball knowledge. Had Alleva not did what he did last season, we probably would have got 1 or 2 more top/very good recruits that would have helped this team out tremendously. Probably could have competed to win back to back SEC regular season championships. Which, considering where this program was just a few years ago would have been simply remarkable.

Wrong... the reports of a supposed transcript of a conversation is what prompted Alleva to act.
To this date, no one has produced the full transcript other than the supposed snippets in that one report, and no one has produced the audio recording... LSU has also never been served a Notice of Allegations (like several other schools have).

Comparing the two is the dumbest thing I've seen posted here. Les inherited a championship program, Wade inherited a dumpster fire. Who's to say LSU doesn't make Final 4 last year if Wade isn't suspended by dumbass Aleva?
