There is zero logical explanation for this. I don't give a crap if we were home teams twice and they have been once. We are the 1 seed and deserve to be home.

This pisses me off every year. We should be the home team every game we play AT HOME.

The higher seed should be the home team every game. They earned it through the regular season.
Oh well, guess we just need to get up by 20 early on.

I'm not disagreeing with you that it's dumb, but do you feel the same about Omaha?

I get last night. But tonight should 100% be home.

Why are we the visitor two games in a row?
Posted on 6/2/25 at 8:21 am to JonHarbaw
If two teams play back to back games, at the very least, they should swap home and visitor status
Posted on 6/2/25 at 8:24 am to JonHarbaw
At least they changed the dumbass rule that since if we were the visitors we had to be in the “visitor” dugout. That never made any sense.

Jay can't even get the coin toss correct.

A lot of rules in sports that people want to be fixed, this should be.. absolute no brainer that the host seed should have the home spot if it’s a game 7.

I wouldn’t be upset if that was the case straight through to Omaha

LSU is the host team, not the home team.
Play during the regular season has given you the advantage of 10,000 fans behind the team giving the opponent hell.

The rules stipulate that the team that has been the home team the least amount of games is the home team. If both teams have been the home team the same number of times, it kicks to a tiebreaker awarded to whichever team has been the visiting team more often.
LSU Home / Little Rock Away
URI Home / Little Rock Away
LSU Home / DBU Away
Little Rock Home / DBU Away
Little Rock Home / LSU Away
LSU Home - 2
LSU Away - 1
Little Rock Home - 2
Little Rock Away - 2
Because Little Rock has played more games coming out of the loser's bracket, they were the Away team more times than LSU and because they were the Away team more often than LSU, they get to be the Home team in both games of the Regional final.
It's a stupid rule that can reward a team for coming out of the loser's bracket.

That's easy to say in a vaccuum, but any higher seeded team coming out of the loser's bracket should not be the Home team in game 1 of the regional final if they are facing a lower seeded 2-0 team.

Thank you for that explanation!

You sure about that?

Agree to disagree. It’s my opinion that the higher seed should always be home in regionals and that the host should always be home in supers.

Can't expect the National Communists Against Athletics to do the right thing ever. Those in charge are too stupid.

We aren't hosting in Omaha you dumbass.
