The difference in their mechanics is glaring.
Harris is our best option

Jennings might have an easier time kicking the ball to the WRs than throwing.

You have to literally be brain dead to think one of them is not better than the other

What are the odds that our starting QB misses at least a game due to injuries? The answer is "too high for comfort". So even if Harris is our starter (which is clearly how it looks early) there's a decent chance that Jennings will be starting a game or more for us.

If he is having some confidence issues (feeling he has lost his job to Harris), perhaps we should cut him some slack. Let's hope he can work and get better. We could very well need him.

Agreed. If Harris wins the job, Jennings will always be just one play away from having to see the field. While his ceiling may not be as high as Harris' is, it doesn't mean we may never need his services going forward. I truly hope that he maximizes his entire potential just in case the worst case scenario were to happen.

Id would like LSU to work on the number 3 qb if Jennings looks this bad all through camp . Something like the guy who wears the visor in the sec east does??

Justin McMillan is a Freshman. With the difficulties our QB's seem to have learning the offense I would suspect he's not an option.

Danny Etling, tranfer from Purdue, won't be elligible until next year.

Jake Clise came in the same class with Jennings and apparently has been beaten out by him.

Apart from Kragthorpe (also beaten out by Jennings), that leaves Brandon Bergeron, a JUCO transfer. He wasn't very highly rated, but he's at least had a year to learn the offense.

Unless Bergeron kicks it into overdrive, Jennings is pretty secure at #2.

Never underestimate the remarkable power of Team Clean Sweep.

Anybody that thinks the "Victim" wasn't persuaded to drop the charges with wonderful and glorious "Gifts from Above" are silly delusional.

That's how it works.............

QB play was horrific for the entire 2014 season, and in 2008-2010 as well. Kind of hard not to be a bit obsessed if one is worried about 2015 being added to that list.

No real flame intended because you only have what God gave you physically. But when you labor to complete a 15 yard out or the receiver has to go to his knees or jump to make a catch you going to have a real problem at any level much less in the SEC. Jennings is a good kid but his passes look like shot puts!

Harris is our qb but AJ isn't as bad as many are saying. He looked dejected but hopefully he turns it around. Kirk mentioned osu battle how everyone assumes the Barrett / jones battle will be won by the qb with the NFL arm etc. but there is more as he said..herb's comments can be applied here. Is harris the better talent and our future? Yes.. But that can change on a dime.. One play away... And Aj did do some good things in the wins. And in the Bama loss. mainly runs though. Re-watch the Bama game and the refs and 3rd n chavis beat us not Aj.

Harris is so much more talented. One looks like a pro prospect and the other a high school level qb

Might want to hold up on that first and wait until after a few SEC games before making this statement.

Don't need sec games to know that harris more talented. He will have some growing pains reading defenses but with good defense and running attack they may not hurt us too bad. He had some decent experience as well. I like this team this team to make some noise n the west especially with Harris behind center

I'm all for Harris being our starter. And I do agree that AJ doesn't look so good in the video.

I'm not making excuses for anyone, but wasn't there something said about AJ having shoulder issues? This could explain the soft lobbing passes. Maybe he was told to go easy.
