That's the basic passing tree they're working on. Most high school teams use this.
0 - 6 yard hitch
1 - 5 yard out
2 (hard 2--2 yard slant/skinny 2 2 yard slant but bend it up the seam)
3 - 10 yard out
4 - 12 yard hitch
5 - 12 bench route
6 - 15 yard dig route
7 - 10 yard post corner route
8 - 10 yard post
9 - Fly Route
When they call these pass plays in the huddle, it's usually a number.
First number usually indicates the protection (3 step = 300 protect, 5 step = 500 protect, roll right = 800 protect, roll left = 900 protection)
The next 2 numbers read from X to Y to Z (receivers)
So in a 4 wide shotgun set, with 2 receivers to each side...on a 567 Corner call...
5 step protection
Receivers ON the line of scrimmage (X & Y) run a 6 route (dig), and the slot guy (Z) OFF the line, run a 7 route over the top (post corner). The word "Corner" is in reference to the 4th receiver to also run a post corner route.
So the call in the huddle would be like this:
Deuce Gun Right (or whatever you wanna call that formation), 567 corner, on the center, on the center, ready...BREAK
0 - 6 yard hitch
1 - 5 yard out
2 (hard 2--2 yard slant/skinny 2 2 yard slant but bend it up the seam)
3 - 10 yard out
4 - 12 yard hitch

One thing that jumps out is the velocity difference between Mett and Rivers.
You don't even have to see the QB's to know who threw the pass.
