He shouldn't be bringing it up in the first place. It happened months ago and they both paid their dues.

It's a football game, the idiot needs to learn to talk about that if he must talk about something.

Let us not forget that dear Gary was a do nothing, horrible QB for the Lions for years. Now he thinks he knows everything about playing QB but has never coached.

Awful logic.

Verne and Gary don't make the graphics and decide what to talk about in between plays. You know that, right?

I thought him referring to Hill "sucker punching" was really uncalled for....he seemed to be angry at Miles for letting him back on the team. What is to be gained for demeaning Hill or Miles.

What you call what Hill did from the video? Sucker punch is a perfect description.

I honestly was surprised Miles let him back on the team. After seeing our D and other RBs this year, I see why Miles let him back instead of giving him the Perrilloux or TM7 treatment.

Seemed to linger a lot on Mett's problem as well.

Well, it was a huge story.

Failed to mention that the coed who objected to Mett was Board of Supervisor niece and that Richt bailed on Mettenberger.

Is this a proven fact? I've seen this rumor, but my friends who go to UGA say the rumor on campus was that was that it was attempted rape (as in he made advances, she refused, he didn't stop kinda stuff) and Richt let him go quietly rather than making a big deal out of it.

He groped a girl at a bar while drunk and underage.

She was the niece of one of the BOS for Georgia

He lied about it twice to richt.

No rape involved. Your Georgia friends are dumb.

I've heard this, but never seen a link to it. Got a link?

I'd figure they would be closer to insiders in the program than we would.

Didn't say rape was involved. But attempted rape would be him groping her and trying to undress her and grabbing her while she's saying no.

Police report says sexual battery. If it was just grabbing a girl's arse, I doubt that charge would stick.

First of all the incident happened in remerton and so had nothing to do with any uga personnel or their daughters. He was kicked off the squad because he originally lied about the incident to richt and then the truth came out. I am pretty sure the incident involved hands up a skirt when the girl had already told him to move on. To be honest, Zach had plenty of rumors swirling about him and his immature actions even before this incident. In this case, the swift kick in the arse probably helped him learn there were consequences to his actions and hopefully has helped him become a better person and not just a better qb.

He walked up from behind the guy and cold cocked him. Its what is commonly referred to as a sucker punch.

I agree. Good move by Richt. Les should've taken a lesson from him on it and applied it to Hill.

That didn't happen.

Where are you getting your facts from?

Why make up bullshite about Zach?

quote:

Southern Judicial Circuit district attorney J. David Miller said the charges "were the result of Mettenberger grabbing the breasts and touching the buttocks" of a 20-year-old female Valdosta State University student in the bar. He was sentenced to 12 months of probation and 80 hours of community service.

Mettenberger was originally facing various charges of underage possession of alcohol, disorderly conduct and possession of false identification. Bulldogs coach Mark Richt allowed him to participate in spring practice and compete for the starting job before removing him from the team last month, indicating the case was more serious. Aaron Murray was named the starter for Georgia after his dismissal.

Mettenberger expressed regret for the incident and said he hoped to get a second chance to play football.

"I first want to apologize to the young lady my actions most directly affected, and I hope that by me accepting responsibility for my actions that she can move on with her life," Mettenberger said in the statement.

"I would also like to apologize to my family, friends, teammates, the coaching staff and the University of Georgia. Though it was very uncharacteristic of me to act the way I did, I still accept full responsibility for this event. I deeply regret my actions of that night and can assure that these actions will never happen again. I intend to do everything in my power to restore my image and rebuild the trust people had in me before."

There it is. In black And white

I agree with you as well. Call it what you want, but a top 10 SEC matchup isn't the right time to talk about it, especially with the talent all over the field.
