Could you give us your favorite restaurant recommendations around the strip?

You need to head to Mt. Charleston for shaded trails. The next closest is Calico in Red Rock and you will not have shade

Yes. Check out Emerald Cave. Sparks Marina or McGill pool are other options. Not sure how far you want to travel for a natural source of water

Anyone know some good karaoke bars on the strip?

We're staying at Treasure Island.

The Foundation Room is the penthouse restaurant above the House of Blues. Millionaire friend of mine took a few of us for a week of golf in the late 90s. Ate dinner at the Foundation Room one night. Met Steve Wynn, Scottie Pippin, Julia Roberts, & Tommy Lee Jones up there. I can't even begin to imagine how much the dinner cost him.

Treasure Island is a great hotel casino. Get up early in the morning to get the lower table minimums

Easiest score in the country. Chat up a under 40 cab/share driver. Never fails. Or the casino bar bartender if you chat him/her up awhile, first.

My wife and I were in Vegas a few months back and did dinner at Spago overlooking the fountains and then went and saw O. It’s was an all around phenomenal night. The entire Spago experience was memorable with the fountain show and the incredible food, and O did not disappoint. It was an expensive night, but we had a great time.

Batista's Hole in the Wall was a good, old school, relatively inexpensive spot when I went 20 years ago
