It was good trip, not great, but good.

Pros: Plenty of good restaurants, bars, and the accessibility to the campus and stadium was quick and painless. Also, Bearded Iris IPA at the stadium =

Cons: It isn't necessarily a "walking city". You have strips or districts across town that are very walkable once you are there, but otherwise, you're taking an Uber or Lyft. For instance, we were in Midtown with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Some friends were in 12 South and others were in Five Points. Both districts are walkable, but you need to Uber to and from.

Another con, everywhere you go (we really noticed this downtown and at Yee-Haw Brewery) is just the sheer plethora of bachelor and bachelorette parties. It's just too much. I initially thought that this wouldn't be a bad thing, but it takes away from the authenticity as everyplace panders and caters to them. Yee-Haw was a great example of what could be a really cool, great place, but it just deluged with bachelor and bachelorette parties. The city just felt like one giant Instagram moment.

The left side of my face and neck is burned the hell up! That sun was relentless. I drove in from Virginia and stayed with my brother and did the family thing and I used to live in Nashville, so downtown is no big deal.

I was there last summer and couldn't believe it. Over 3 days, my honest over/under for how many I saw is 125.
