Here before TLDR… I normally like to temper my expectations for our tigers especially considering the roller coaster of ups and downs we’ve experienced the past decade plus. This is not to say I haven’t wrongfully jumped onto the hype bandwagon before (thought we would be great last year).

But… this year feels different.

Being there in person and screaming my arse from start to finish right in front of picketts family was incredible. I’m rambling here but they were extremely kind to us and were giving Clemson hell the whole game as well. (We even booed Jayden when they showed him on the screen and they all got a kick out of it).

But I digress…. This season certainly feels like one that could be one of those rare special ones.

If we take care of business against tech and what I felt like was a weaker looking ole miss team then watch out…

I hate to look ahead but the home schedule could lead to some of the most incredible tiger moments we’ve ever seen.

There was a lot of damn energy on campus even when we pulled up at 9:30 AM you could feel it.

All I’m saying is if we keep the momentum going then watch the frick out.

We’ve got a great schedule. Playing big names at home. Assuming the team progresses, which it should, the show could be one for the ages.

I’ll take it over the last 5 years for sure.

I am tempering my expectations until I see us play Ole Miss. we looked awesome Saturday but Clemson is bad. If we beat Ole Miss in their house with all the emotion they will have in that building then I will be fully on board with us being a NC contender. I’m about halfway there right now. Tempering because I’ve been wrong so many times before. This does feel like a 2011 or 2019 vibe though.

Everything is in front of us for sure. I am ecstatic that he did it, but Leavitt likes to run too aggressively for my liking for an entire season. Took too many hits for the long term, but love the tone he set...

Yea I do agree that Clemson is very bad talent wise. But still wouldn’t be surprised if they win 6 or 7 games. Everyone’s shitting on Dabo right now, rightfully so, but he’s still a great coach who’s won national championships.

Same. I’m wearing purple & gold glasses but this feels totally different. I like the way it feels.

His timing was definitely off with the receivers. But it’s to be expected a little for week 1. More confident in kiffin and weiss figuring that out over BK and Sloan… the running imo was extremely helpful I just thought about all the plays that he rolled out that would have been sacks or throw away last year. Also the o-line looked MUCH improved.

Was holding my breath every time he ran once I witnessed his style. It’s awesome, but scary.

We don’t need to go 12-0

Just can’t lose more than two games.

Got to beat ole Miss though

Don’t tell this LSU team that. Or Lane. They’ll disagree with you heavily.

To win a National Championship you need several things:

A really good team - talent, depth, attitude, leadership.

Really good coaching all around.

A schedule that's challenging but does not wear you out.

A lot of luck - good health, a few good breaks, fair refs, a conference that supports you.

We've got the first three, the last remains to be seen.
