Is the indoor practice facility a viable option but than Ray Tanner could say 102,000 screaming fans would break ear drums since we are loud without a roof

Then they don't deserve to win. If the other team's players can deal with a thousand year flood and giving up a home game, our guys can damn well deal with staying at home for one night.

i stayed at the Marriott on College a couple yrs back for a game and the Arkansas players/staff/etc. were staying there, they took up a couple of floors.

Why would LSU even have to stay in their own dorms/apts? The likely reason the CP is unavailable is due to the potential for a game this weekend and the traditional visiting team room block.

There's a lot that goes into the needs for the visiting team (meal prep, meeting space for players & coaches, bus parking, secure hallways or portions of the hotel that can be made for private use/access) and the CP staff handles this at least 4-7 times a year.

LSU players wouldn't be staying on their on for neither a home nor away game. This idea is silly.

Yeah. They all don't stay at the CP but most do. Some have stayed in Lafayette, others at NOLA Airport Hilton, etc.

USC will keep 2020 home game.

The logistics of this are damn near impossible. First, the competitive advantage of USC having 5 home games to the rest of the East, and the disadvantage of LSU having 5 road games to the rest of the west that year would be unacceptable. The SEC would have to move the game to a year when LSU plays the rotating East on the road, and there would be a huge trickle down to the rest of the schedule.

ETA: OP fixed his error

Other than maybe playing Carolina in My Mind as a tribute rather than Callin' Baton Rouge, a Tiger Stadium game will be an LSU home game.

That's a song about NORTH Carolina.

Hmmm... the James Taylor song is "Carolina on My Mind", referring to North Carolina. But there is a state song of South Carolina entitled "South Carolina on My Mind". The former is a lot better than the latter.
