Agreed, but they play more of a traditional offense than the "spread 'em out and run 'em all over the field fast break" offenses like Oregon, West Virginia, Oklahoma and Texas Tech.

blows my mind that our total offense ranks 90 but scoring offense is 19th. thanks to special teams and defense making plays i guess.
I'm more astonished that we have the 90th ranked total Offense, but are 13th in TOP.
Wonder what our percentage of "3 and out"s is on offense this year? It seems really low, especially compared to the last few years.

I am with you. I hate total stats. What was our scoring offense last year? Not that it is really relevant
45th .averaged ~29 Pts a game

Very important stat!
# of Honey Badgers - LSU 1 (Fla. - 0)

Passing Offense - LSU #101 (Fla #86) Total Offense - LSU #90 (Fla #52)
This shite is getting old.
Somebody needs to manage that.
This is Week 5, so it's not LSU's schedule.
If only we could be the team with the nation's #1 offense, we'd be OK!
(I believe that team is Oregon)
You want to be them?
Got it?

Offense is still our Achilles Heel.
The play calling is streamlined but it's pretty much the same stuff. QB completion stats and production are slightly better but Lee's accuracy has been marginal, while he has avoided picks.

Offense is still our Achilles Heel.
The offense to date has been very efficient, our low offensive output is due to the fact that our starting drives have been much closer to the opposing team's goal. Add this to the fact that we are getting defensive and special team touchdowns, means we have intangibles working for us.
Be happy we have a great team this year!!
Grind out the wins and wear the other team out

ONLY Stat that matters, IMHO: LSU 5-0.
Rest is great for mental masturbation and gives everyone something to talk/argue about.
It is fun to look at those stats and discuss who is better at what phase of the game, etc., and I follow them as well; however, the first stat I look for is W-L.
Having said that---I can't wait to see how we play against UF with Brantley likely out and Demps may not be 100%. Hopefully we can pad our stats and look even better to the moronic voters who put too much emphasis on them.

Why the hangup with stats?...THE ONLY STAT THAT NEEDS TO BE HIGH, IS #1 RANKING..I could care less as long as we keep winning...you people just can't ever be happy...

Do you people even enjoy the fricking games?
Take WVU, where our offense was supposedly completely outclassed by the 500+ yards put up.
LSU:
Rushing: 186
Passing: 180
Total Offense: 366
WVU:
Rushing: 70
Passing: 463
Total Offense: 533
Factor in Kick Returns -
LSU - 165 (KO) 34 (Punt)
WVU - 100 (KO) 0 (Punt)
LSU Yds - 565
WVU Yds - 633
You also have to factor in that we had an extra +24 yards from the +4 turnovers and our average starting field position was much better.
Total offense is a joke of a stat. We dominate in Time of Possession, we dominate in First Downs, we are actually able to consistently drive the field, our receivers are able to get open and have room to run after the catch, and our running backs actually have running lanes. Who cares if we don't put up 1000 yds, if you consistently start on the with less than 60 yards to go for the score YOU DON'T NEED TO.

Total offense is a worthless stat
Scoring offense is 19. Best it's been since 2007.

Factor in the fact our running game is getting stuffed on to many occasions and we are looking at third and long to many times. And we have the worst catching receivers in the nation.

Receivers are terrible overall
