You are such a fricking douche why dont you do us all a favor and kill yourself. I noticed your pussy arse never showed up after you made the statement that JJ cold not throw for 200 hundred yards in a game. Your agenda has been more then evident.

I never thought much of total offense as being that important. I think the most telling statistic that reflects the quality of a team (excluding, of course, the W's vs. L's) is the third-down conversion rate. LSU looks pretty average.

Jefferson's yards per attempt seems about the same as many of the top passers. He also has a solid completion percentage.

IMO it is likely Jefferson would have a lot more yards if he was asked to throw it more. He only threw it around 15 times last night.

you can't say enough about this. we don't give our opponents short fields and we put ourselves in good field position.

Really?
Washington
Mississippi State
Georgia
ULL

all have some of the worst defenses in the country
The offense had plenty of time to warm up

Umm.... Bama faced FIU (118/120) and North Texas (111/120) in defenses. Both much worse than any defense LSU has faced.

This stat has serious implications in the bama game. If they only punt once like Florida did we have no chance.

So 2 bad defense trump the 6 LSU has faced????
Really is that your logic?
LSU:
105: Washington
98: Tulane
97: ULL
70: Auburn
68: Georgia
56: Mississippi State
2: Florida

Bama:
118: FIU
111: North Texas
95: Arkansas
69: Kentucky
29: Virginia Tech
23: Ole Miss
13: Tennesse
16: South Carolina

Then don't forget Bama beat there 2 worst team by a combined 93-21.
LSU beat there 2 worst teams by a combined 73-23

How in the hell are you still posting? I thought you doused yourself in gasoline and lit yourself on fire in protest of Miles not starting Lee.

I'd like to know how LSU's offense and defense rank the last five games. I bet they are both very good, and the defense may be #1 in some catagories.

We have ALWAYS had great kickoff coverage. It's pretty crazy how good we are at it...does CLM stress special teams anything like CUM? Obviously not the kickers

Also, I feel like Jefferson had a middle of the road game considering we were playing Tulane. I think he'll break it open next ween in Tuscaloosa.

So you are comparing a first game of the year with new OL and a Green QB going across the country to Bama playing a de facto home game in ATL against an over rated Virginia Tech team?

LSU's offense has continued to improve the last few weeks outside of the UF game, and that largely had to do with overly conservative playcalling.

Furthermore, our defense had trouble getting teams off the field early on if you look at our opp 3rd down conversion rate.

Bama's defense is returning almost all its starters in a system they have been in for 3 years, while LSU has a new one.

Bama's is regressing, while LSU's is improving. Stats like total yardage are overrated, especially when your Field position is usually much better than most teams.

Georgia = Bama?????
Overrated means ranked team compared to a 3-5 team????

Not really, LSU is avg 25.2 PPG last 5 weeks, if by improved you only mean past 2 games then I agree.

Defense 12.4 PPG last 5 games, still 276 YPG which is still in line with their season average.

While playing 2 top 20 defenses while LSU has played 2 of worst in country.

I almost started a thread last nite that I had NEVER seen a more consistant KO coverage team in LSU history...im talking EVER. I have no doubt that LSU is gonna stop the returner somewhere between the 15 and 25. And considering our kicker NEVER kicks the ball out of the end zone..that's pretty good.

It's a much bigger stat than most people would give credit too ... kickoff coverage and starting field position is huge.
