D1 is just clickbait and that’s all it is. They knew dropping lsu that far would create chatter and clicks. It’s not a serious poll. In week 4, UNC dropped from 4 to 6 after losing a series at home to Stanford. Temu stayed in the top 20 even after starting 9-6. Kendall has lost all credibility.

Because most evaluators don’t know crap beyond their region. And the rest can’t help but be guided almost completely by their pre-season biases.
