I normally don't for any reason other than coaches. There is to much that can go wrong with recruiting info and most other things get leaked anyway

I don't think Les knows with 100% certainty who the next DC will be right now. And this is entirely Les' decision.
I've heard CP, Stoops and Steele all mentioned favorably.

They've got a staff of "interns" that they use to recruit. One happens to be the DL coach for CP for his first two years at Cal. He works for Saban now making $350k/yr recruiting....
He was a damn good DL coach too, probably part of the reason Cal's defense suffered in CP's last year when he left them at the end of 2011.

I don't know anything about BeBe. I'd assume if CP comes he comes, but that's just a guess.

Tosh Lupoi...he is an elite recruiter...he left Cal for Washington because he realized Cal was a dead program and no good defensive prospects wanted to go there anymore.

Nothing is a done-deal yet, but as of this evening all indications are that if the interview goes well Stoops will get the job.
I find it somewhat interesting that your sources come out with this after it's been announced by a news outlet.
The budget may end up being the deciding factor, but I see no evidence that Stoops has any experience or ability to recruit the South.

To be fair, I don't think it will work that way. No formal offer will be made to anyone unless and until it is known the offer will be accepted. As much as I want mytigger's info to be wrong, the quoted statement is likely to be technically true until the deal is inked.

i will completely tap the frick out if its stoops. hes the least inspiring name on the list by far. id actually be embarrassed if we hired him. what the frick did cam know about recruiting the south when he got the job?
