Won't hire O because LM doesn't want someone with a strong personality. This was talked about by Ken Trahan. I hope he is wrong because he would lock in the recruiting. As a coach you can never become bigger than the program. We shall see. Once again i hope Trahan is wrong.

I think Miles is in full control of who they hire. I'm sure money will be a factor but I'm not exactly sure if they have a pre set value. I think some have reported that. We shall see.

coach O will come in if brick leaves. I don't think LSU will fire him or move him to an administrative position.

it also may be that he is one of the fall back options. I don't think anyone knows the exact reason he was interviewed. But the rumor that he was going to be offered were clearly false.

confirming this morning that it is definitely 2 interviews today... all indications still point to CP & Stoops, but I cannot confirm that 100%. all the other interview crap is just feeding the media misinformation. brick situation should be sorted out in a day or two, it's what is holding up any deal with O. Shoop is still in the picture. He contacted LSU after the bowl, but contrary to what I said yesterday he and Les also talked again while Les was in BR - I'm not sure if it was a phone call or a meeting.

mytigger, any possibility from what you hearing that Ensminger gets move to admin position to make room for O even if we retain Brick? Thanks

True. His scheme isn't complex, and he very rarely tries to disguise what they are doing, other than the occasional delayed blitz. I think it comes down to trust with him, mainly at the MLB spot. He has played plenty of true freshmen on the line and in the secondary, be he has always been touchy about who gets reps at LB.
The calls may not be complicated, but what little is going on up front is happening with the LBs in base or Nickle. The line just rushes or plugs holes in the run game.

Hi can only hope Miles, his agent and Alleva have a bit of situational awareness...This DC hire needs to be a home run..All candidates are flawed but as its been said numerous times, the CP/O combo appears to have both the sizzle and substance we need

I haven't heard anything about any other coaches moving into an Admin position. It could be the case, I just hadn't heard, or asked about it.
