Article that's been floating around from early December said he visits arizona on weekends. Not sure if he lives in Dallas or not

Well then...I think I might know why Les is heading to Dallas now.

Yeah I had let a girl get the best of me and was all upset. My grandma told me that to make me feel better I suppose. I probably thought it was the end of the world

Miles always says he wants balance. Stoops' 117th ranked pass defense should go well with that Les Miles passing game.

On the bright side, it will make Anthony Jennings look even better in practice.

I've seen it posted that LSU could place someone in the administration dept until spring when another coach can be added. But this is inaccurate, universities will vote on adding another coach to staff, its not a give in.

This just isn't true. Trust me. I know from experience.

There are all different shapes and sizes.

Without a doubt. Some monkeys are much prettier than others!

Stoops does have Texas ties...maybe they're hoping to solidify that area w/ someone like him?

But if he has the ability to hire both Pendergast and Orgeron, and he does not, I'm with you.
I think if Les could have this, he would. I hope Alleva isn't handcuffing Les on this hire and giving him a number that Les has to force fit a candidate into. That is my fear.

I'm sure there has been some chatter between ADs and they probably have a good idea which direction that vote is gonna fall

I heard that to, from what I can gather CP will be a phone call from Bass' office
I know who CP and Bass are but I still cant figure out what this means

and if Aleva really is "controlling the timeline" he needs to learn his fricking role and get out of the way. after the fiasco at Duke with the lacrosse team, god knows how he ever got this job to begin with, but he certainly hasnt done anything to keep it.

Dear God...I'm just seeing this and am horrified. Stoops? Seriously? Just take Steele then. And buy a for sale sign for the Miles house too, it will be needed within 2 years. Both of these guys SUCK and are not deserving of being at LSU. This is a top ten program and those are second tier garbage candidates.

Take it for what it is worth but my sources are telling me that Les is ready to retire to the highly paid consulting gig and LSU has come to an agreement in principle to hire Bob Stoops. Everyone thinks Bob will get his mojo back by moving to the SEC and will be able to stifle Aggie ambitions while beating Alabama. The Mike Stoops hire is sort of an exploratory for the Stoops but it also keeps LSU from committing long term to another DC. You guys are LSU ... buck up and believe in yourselves.

Whether you have real info or not is debatable, but I think Les' retirement isn't far off (2-3 years), and that is the reason for the way negotiations went with Chavis. Why offer a 2 year guaranteed contract, but not go further when that (according to every LSU insider) is the main sticking point? Because you KNOW you will have to pay a buyout on a 3 or 4 year deal. Factor in USCe's recruiting issues in the wake of Spurrier slipping up and admitting that he is leaving soon, and what took place at least makes a little more sense.

Are you predicting that Miles will retire sooner? Just curious.

It means there are only two DC interviews. One Stoops and the other CP.

Alleva has nothing to do with these interviews, it's entirely Les' deal.
