The post I replied to and quoted said "Don’t waste anymore money on basketball" not "stop funding basketball".
"Anymore"
I took that as increasing levels of funding over their current percentage, and I do believe that is indeed the majority opinion. The majority would prefer sending any extra funds to football, baseball, WBB, gymnastice or whatever their own favorite sport is rather than MBB.
MBB fans are very vocal, but are outnumbered by other Tiger fans in general that are apathetic to MBB unless they are already a winner, they don't seem to want to actually put resources into making them a winner.
ETA The Tiger fanbase is much more than "this board". Perhaps some should get out of the echo chamber every now and then.
