I dont know. It was a good product in the 2000s when the music was played more sparingly.

A positive. There were actually ushers and a sheriff in the tunnel about 211 where I sit.

Something new was the concession workers were so slow I had to go down to the bottom of the stadium. Crazy how slowly they were servicing people and it wasn’t a break like between quarters either.

I am good with the music for the most part.

It's not the content for me, its the volume. Apparently to be heard in the SEZ it has to be deafening in the NEZ. It's made the game experience downright unpleasant. I can deal with the traffic, concessions and everything else. But that loud system...man!

The new sound system appears to have the same problems/limitations as the old one.

From what I’ve heard we’re basically just fricked on that. The acoustics suck with the stadium design since the new South addition and there’s nothing to really change it.

Probably from one of my posts.

It doesn’t completely track with the current issue though. Issues with the acoustics will cause things to become unintelligible. But if it’s quiet at the south end of the uppers while being deafeningly loud in the SEZ lower bowl, that seems like it’s mainly an issue of bad array design - i.e. too much sound pointed at the south endzone and not enough pointed upwards towards the sides.

Could be that they made a calculated decision to sacrifice volume in the uppers for intelligibility in the lower bowl. Could also be that there were structural concerns that prevented them from hanging additional side-fill arrays. I guess it’s hard to say without having inside information. But from the outside looking in, it kind of seemed like the sound design was an afterthought with the new video board.
