I am mighty impressed by such a small school here in the Capital City having so many D-1 athletes on one team. Back when I was coaching Pop Warner Football I learned that the most critical stage in an athletes development is from 5th to 8th grade. So hats off to a high school that has allocated time to their junior high programs.

On a negative note, why aren't more of these kids committing to LSU?

It's amazing what recruiting and having rich parents and alumni can do.

U-High is on the campus of LSU and the kids are thought to want a change of scenery.

If Louisiana had an a-hole, this is where it would be.

You do realize that most of their top players / recruits didn’t go to middle school at Uhigh right?

Not most of them. All the big time recruits did not go to middle school there.

Uhigh is a premiere program and LSU isn't getting their message across the right way. My grandson was a Cubbie and he attended L.S.U. Although it took him a few months to run the 40 yard dash, he bought into what LES was selling. He became the #1 fan/manager of Tiger Athletics.

If L.S.U. wants to sell itself to talent already on-campus, they should do work in the next few years to find themselves. Like a nomadic, existential millennial searching for an inner dialogue, we are missing out on what is plainly right under our nose.

They have taken great advantage of the voucher program which has coincided with the dramatic rise of their football program in the last 10 years.

It's just happens to be a coincidence that almost all their voucher program kids are extremely athletic.
