Yes. And the police should have at least given an ear to that word of mouth. It's called interviewing witnesses and doing quality investigative work.
You don't know they didn't. You are assuming. The only story is coming from Shady's employees to the media and not sworn testimony to the police. That is odd enough on top of the fact their story contradicts itself. The only video evidence they have is supposedly of JJ walking by and not knowing Lowery. That has no bearing at all on anything.

ALLEGED victims. That is a rather important distinction that must be made.

Les should tell Unglesby that he has an open time on November 26th, have a nice day and thanks for purchasing that box suite for the 2011 Season!

And you would be correct. High profile people, bring in more people and money. This isn't speculation. It is a fact.
I'm headed out. Good discussion. It could have lived without the "raping dogs" comments. But, not everyone can argue civilly like Antonio Moss has.

The police themselves stated that they had spoken to no third-party witnesses several days after the fight. So, there you go.

There is a definite lack of faith when it comes to the BRPD and I don't think it is unfounded.

Damn I can't believe this thread is still going, jester has put in a full days work in here.

Yeah, you really don't understand what I'm saying.
You have, as you put it "drunk athletes, a bar owner, and bar employees (who have an interest in the players being innocent)" and victims who stand to make a financial gain off the situation and witnesses who closely linked to the victims. That's why you interview them all.
Now, video doesn't lie. According to Shady's, there is video of Lowery getting tossed out the bar which directly contradicts his previous statements.

It was also stated later that they did interview the employees from Shady's. I could assume since they didn't speak to them that night it was likely because they were closed and no one could be contacted. This whole statement is actually incorrect because the only first-party witness in the original report was Lowery. Biased or unbiased all the others the officer spoke with are "third-party witnesses" as they were not directly involved with the fight.

Okay, I'll begrudgingly accept your theory as a fact. Even still, that does not prove that the Shady's employees lied. That is not speculation. That is a fact.

Argue the semantics all you want. You and I both know that by "3rd party witness," the spokesman was speaking of unbiased witnesses. That would be: not an active participant or his girlfriend.

I'm basing it on the interview with these employees.

Ironically, they can't give a sworn testimony to the police unless they're interviewed.
You place them in a catch-22. You won't give credence to their claim that they were not interviewed unless its in a sworn statement. They couldn't give a sworn statement unless they were interviewed.

Their story does not contradict itself.

If that were true, it places Lowery in the bar which he claimed he never went. It's a pretty significant knock on his credibility.
But let's just get your honest opinion. Do you think the employees are lying and they were really interviewed by the police in this case?

Antonio Moss, are you still on this kick claiming legitimate witnesses were ignored simply out of incompetence? Really? When BRPD is doing all this other crap to show that they are doing a thorough investigation, yet chose to ignore credible witnesses and video tape.
I can bet you $50 bucks what the video Fisher tried to give them was. The footage from inside the bar from earlier in the night that the police already had.
I have more belief in the fact that the two Shady's employees are full of shite. While I would not be surprised that the initial officer at the scene didn't ask them questions (seeing as he likely figured nothing would come from it), to claim the entire group working on this case chose to just ignore them for a week is not believable whatsoever.
If the police refused to interview them, why didn't they come out earlier claiming that? Why did they go to the papers? Why not put your statement in a form that you can be legally held accountable?
Why they didn't because it's defense lawyering 101. If you have "witnesses" willing to work with you, then have them make it impossible for the cops to get their statements, then turn around, publicly release their version to the media and claim "They didn't let me tell my side" and you have just significantly shattered the legitimacy of their case.
Trying to act like this is not likely, much less not feasible, by a scumbag attorney is where you lose credibility. Shady's as a business has multiple reason to not help in this case.

and maybe the witness is slamming the "victim", and maybe the "victim" and his slam piece only recognized the most famous tiger and one they know from their past.

you are innocent until proven guilty that is a pillar of what our country was founded on and the fact that JJ is basically presumed guilty until hes proven innocent is bullshite, and a result of his celebrity more than anything.
